Great if both products came in working order.
Bought a set of two remotes. One worked right away. One does not work.

Original review: Insert says when you have this set-up to your TV so that you have VOL and MUTE you are 'good to go' but what good is it without channel control, guide and info control, etc.? I cannot get this unit to engage the set-top box at all. Useless!Updating to 5 stars because the unit is perfect but what I needed in addition to programing the remote was *pairing it to my cable box*. So I had to call Comcast and they walked me through a few button clicks, sent a signal (I think) and bingo, all was well. Be sure if you only get vol/mute but no cable control with your remote that you have proper pairing to your cable box. If only they said something about this in the literature ...

This is a basic remote works with Xfinity. No voice or or replay button.
The new xfinity XR15 remotes are the absolute worst TV remote ever make and should be discontinued. These older XR2 remotes are easier to use. I had to run the following setup code to get them to sync with the cable box --- (981).Note: One of the 2 remotes did not work. The seller sent a replacement at no charge.

Good remote but sensitive to water damage
Works fine, but when I tried two disinfect it with alcohol, it got down inside the buttons and destroyed one of the remotes. I didn't even use that much alcohol. Obviously cheaply made. I've repaired remotes in the past so I understand how they work and how they're built. When they're not made well water can get inside of them between the rubber button sheets and the contact points under them and destroy the remote by shorting it out. Sometimes you can save a remote by taking them apart and drying the parts individually, then putting them back together and crossing your fingers....

Remote Works Right Out The Box!
This pair of remotes worked with NO Issues whatever on my Xfinity X1 Box. The only option I do not have is voice control (since I hardly used the voice control on the original, I really don't miss the option. It didn't work all that great to me in the first place due to it frequently not switching to the requested channel.. usually the wrong channel). So, if voice control is not a deal breaker... I give it 5 Stars!!. They may have a voice control version, but that was irrelevant to me.

Works beautifully!
Works great with my Comcast boxes!! (Non DVR).Make sure you replace the remote you actually have. Misplaced one of mine during our move and once I popped the batteries in it worked like a charm with no programming.

UUUGGGG REMOTE REPLACE HASSEL FOR ELECTRONICALLY CHALLENGED
JUST WISH IT WERE EASIER TO GET REMOTES THAT CHANGED CHANNELS, VOLUME ON OFF.... KEEP BUYING REMOTES THAT SAY THEY WORK WITH MY TV BUT HAVEN'T FOUND ONE YET TO DO IT ALL ON A SCEPTRE TV WITH A DECENT PRICE.......MY POOCH CHOMPED ON MY REMOTE AND FROM THEN ON I CAN'T GET THE RIGHT REPLACEMENT..... LAST REPLACE WAS FROM COMCAST WORKED GOOD
