Took it out the box not knowing anything at all about it , saw it on outdoor boys YouTube. Within a hour I had started at least ten cotton balls soaked in Vaseline just playing Around learning how to get it just right and strike fire every time. Now this thing doesn't disappoint wow heavy duty life proof fire starter I 100% recommend this one. It has potential to light 1000s and 1000s of fires and seller is super cool so go ahead and buy it from him please, you deserve it you know you do and it's a 2pack gift the other or throw it in car for emergencies or in bug out bag.

It's easy to work and works good

Durable, reliable. Relatively compact. Perfect addition to my bug-out bag along with some cotton balls or char cloth

We found this hard to strike the first time. The paint/coating needed to wear off some before it lights. I don't know why it was coated if the coating needs worn off before it works easily. After that, it worked great! A good survival tool!

Great product, but came in some weird bright yellow color instead of the orange that I ordered. Obviously doesn’t effect the function but still kind of disappointing. Throws some awesome spark. I learned about these from the Outdoor Boys YouTube channel and pretty impressed with the function so far.

Wrong color

This fire starter is amazing, I’ve gotten to teach my whole family on starting fires without some sort of gas or lighter. We use cotton balls or tinder, one good spark and your lit up.

I've owned many flint fire starters, but this is by far the best one. Be sure to read the instructions so you don't miss the part about pressing at an angle and risk breaking it! Some sparks are so hot they crackle for a couple seconds after a strike! I recommend some BlackBeard fire starter to accompany it.
