Extremely stable flight right out of the box.
The media could not be loaded. Wasn't sure what to expect being an extremely experienced drone pilot. I never got into remote control flight before drones with copters or planes, so this was a bit of a new foray for me. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised.Flying this thing was easy out of the box. I made sure to charge the existing battery which only took a few minutes from the shipped charge. As soon I made the first lift off, I went slowly and this copter cooperated nicely. It just held position in the air once I got it to height and sat there until I made my next maneuver. I would say this is much easier than a drone in many ways but there are some key differences with controlling flight.More power (up) and less power (down) using the left side joystick was simple enough, however there is no yaw type control as with a drone. I was a bit disappointed in that at first but I'll explain more. The right side joystick controls rotation left or right and then tilt (movement) forward and back. For a beginner, the more simplistic control style here makes it much easier to fly out of the box. I was able to fly with great stability the very first time and the video shows how well I managed with my second ever flight. In a small room, this large copter is actually manageable to fly! After a while, I didn't miss yaw control much at all. Once you master the right side controller with left side throttle at the same time, you can actually get some yaw in your turns. It hangs and swings from the rotors just like a real copter. Finding spots in between forward and turn can also achieve that. There's another button for faster or slower modes. And two more for rotational drift tuning.Build quality is great! It has a very clean and finished look. Very nice. I crashed a couple times and the fold away blades took it in stride. You just have to straighten them out again. With a drone, I would be looking for new blades already. They do include a second rear propeller (used for forward and back movement) which looks somewhat like a drone blade. I bet I could use one as an additional spare. And they include a second battery. Its not too loud and my cat loved it. He wanted to take it down. Lol. Neat copter and a great starter kit for just about anyone. Glad I gave it a try.

Very cool helicopter
Love the S37 raptor. Shipped on time and no damages to package when arrived. Unboxed, read all instructions and charged up batteries. Charging is a little bit long, but that doesn't really bother me as I have a few drones and rc truck so I'm use to that. Paired remote and helicopter and was ready to fly. I think it's a little to big for inside, so I ventured out to give a try. There was little to no wind so it was very easy to control. Hovers great, and turns and forward/backward are also good. I am new to helicopter R C, but I did find this easy to learn to fly. Battery is about 10 minutes and the remote beeps at you when battery is low. One thing, you should start the rotors turning first before taking off. Do this by pushing up on the left stick then letting go. Once the blades are turning, the you can throttle up on left stick to go up. Go slow though as it can rise very quickly. Landing is also a breeze. I like the slow/fast option to learn with. Good for a beginner like me. Only con, if I can call it that is I wish it came with a carrying case. Buy, you will enjoy the S37!

Mind of its own
Very excited to fly my helicopter. Got it out of the box, carefully read all of the directions. Tested it at home and all seemed great. Went to work next day for maiden voyage and more room. I flew up to about 20 feet, when suddenly it went into some kind of spinning pattern and no matter what I could not get it to respond to the remote control. It drifted over the fence onto military property and disappeared over the horizon never to be seen again. As far as battery life, I can’t really comment on it because I only got to fly it for 40 or 45 seconds. If this craft was supposed to be good for beginners, I would disagree because, it was apparently impossible to steer it back to me.

Great flying machine but watch that tail rotor!
I've had Syma products before so I know they are pretty good stuff. It flies as well as I expected. It's a ton of fun and it came with 2 batteries. It is very well constructed as well. The problem is that tail rotor. The first time it bumps anything and flies off, it's never the same again. Put it back on and it just flies off when you try to fly forward. My advice is to get on Syma's website and order a few spares. I just did. Don't let this scare you away from buying one. They are great flying choppers! Just keep it away from those kitchen cabinets. 🤣UPDATE!I was able to use blades from a small drone I got from 5 Below on my helicopter. Flies as well as it did with the stock blade. Just make sure the pitch is correct or the controls will be reversed.
