DO NOT BUY - Did not work in INDIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Read online importance of sending prerequisite information Copy of passport, address etc to the company before travel so that the card could be used on arrival. Received communication from company that the SIM card already to go before departure to India. However, though the SIM and phone seem to be recognized on arrival in New Dehli, the card never work!!!!! NO DATA NO PHONE SERVICE, emailed local contact but received no help.WARNING TO FELLOW TRAVELLER, DO NOT BUY this card as there are problems even following all the preliminary instruction etc. $20 dollars wasted. But not as important as not being able to communicate for 4 days in Dehli except in area where there is WIFI. UGH

DO NOT BUY: This does not work!
DO NOT BUY this because it will not work in your phone, and you will not discover this until you arrive jetlagged in India!I followed all of the seller's instructions about submitting a copy of my passport and other contact details several days before I left. When I arrived in India, I swapped in the card, and got strange error messages pop up. The phone recognized that there was a SIM card installed, but I had no access to text, voice, or data. The seller did not respond to email questions asking for help.It was very inconvenient because many public wifi hotspots require you to get an OTP over text. I would have been better off buying a SIM in India ... even if it took a couple days to activate, I would have had someone physical to go back to if I needed technical support!

SIM card works upon arrival but poor signal/coverage by BSNL
The SIM card really was working upon landing in India; amazing! There were a few additional steps in the process that are not mentioned in the listing with submitting a copy of passport and a visa. Excellent customer service; they were very responsive in India with any questions/concerns. The reason I gave it 4 stars Is that at least in Kerala the BSNL signal strength is very poor, so voice calls were frequently breaking up and 3G was good only for short messaging, but barely enough for decent browsing and definitely not for internet-based calls. Overall a good experience and saves the hassle of going through submitting documents stand waiting for several days in India to get the SIM card activated.

Works in Southern India, Not in Delhi
I was traveling to Delhi and Visakhapatnam recently and stumbled upon this product. I have always borrowed my friends’ simcard but thought this will be nice to have my own and wanted no hassles with activating a new Sim at the airport. The activation was easy but when I arrived in Delhi it wouldn’t work immediately. After an hour I got it working but the service was so poor I was better off without it. Call’s would drop and any place indoors it would not have service. Internet was pathetic. On the plus side it worked great in Visakhapatnam where MTNL is one of the carriers. The internet was fast too. Unfortunately I spent more days in Delhi so it was a waste of moneyWould only recommend if you are traveling to Southern India

A must buy for people traveling to India.
Worked perfectly from the time I landed in India. A must buy for people traveling to India for a 30 day visit or less. The process in India is pretty cumbersome and takes two days for a SIM to be active. A far cheaper option than roaming with any US carrier.

Total disaster
Just came back from Hyderabad IndiaThis SIM card is useless to say the least in a city where USA is pumping so much money by hiring so many locals for their business. As soon as we're 48 hours before leaving, we submitted our info online, got email back saying it takes 3 days to process.Actually, after the travel time which takes a whole day, two days after we arrived before we received a text stating our SIM cards are processed.Using the phone at airport when we arrived was of course out of question. As the text frequently sends advertisement, most of the time the carrier is "no service"This created a problem:Our iPhone lasts two to three days even if we use it as GPS to driveOver there, they were constantly looking for carrier, hence the battery last half day. We had to find charger all the time to keep the phone alive.Only light weight text app were able to work upon carrier available.Unfortunately: that's middle of the night. We wake up to message came in over night, half of our reply might reach destination, the other half will be the next day.As soon as some people wake up, we either have service but can't connect - sort of like "hard to get dial tune" or no service at all.It is hard enough that country won't sell us SIM card as foreigner. This purchase did NOT help us at all.Do NOT recommend to anyone if you want phone/data service.

EZ to Install/OK Coverage
Getting the SIM card to work wasn't too difficult but the coverage was just so-so.

Does not work
Arrived Mumbai with no activation after being assured via email all was in order prior to departure. After arrival, there was further emaIL correspondence assuring me the Sim was indeed active No such luck. I ended up with an Airtel Sim for less money (and the 2 hours of time). Be sure to buy the Sim from AirTel not a reseller for instant activation ... must have visa and passport.
