A must have if you have kids with Glasses
This is simply the best option for repairing glasses that are missing a screw. While the standard type of eyeglass repair kit comes with a few screws and a screwdriver; this kit comes with screws that a normal person can actually insert and use. The difference is that the screws in this kit have a leading, extended shaft. This is actually part of the screw itself, but it can easily be snapped off.How it works:What is difficult about standard eyeglass screws is that they are extremely small. This makes inserting them into most eyeglasses difficult. My child has gone through numerous glasses and the most common problem is a missing or damaged screw. Everytime this occured I would have a frustrating time trying to insert a new screw into place. It would often fall off, and I would loose it under the table or on the carpet... The "SnapIt" system works by using "long" screws that have extended leading shafts. These extended parts of the screw allow for easy alignment. Inserting the screw is actually easy because it is slim, and the point is unthreaded - it easily falls into place without much resistence at all. Once you get the screw deep enough, you'll eventually make contact with the screw's threaded part. This is where you start turning the screw, and getting it into place. After the screw is in place, and secure; all you have to do is "snap" off the leading edge of the screw itself. The snapping action is easy and requires little effort. -And Voila! You're done!Kids can really abuse their glasses - my kid does! I've fixed his glasses countless times without much effort - thanks to this kit. If you're a parent or guardian of a kid that has glasses - you need this kit! Or, if you have glasses yourself - I would highly recommend the SnapIt kit. It's the easiest way to fix glasses with missing screws.

One of the most brilliant inventions ever!!!
I never write reviews, but I have to say this is one of the most brilliant inventions I have ever seen. I have been piling up sunglasses with missing screws but seldom have any luck with actually repairing them. It's virtually impossible to hold the sunglasses together, balance the tiny screw over the holes, and use the tiny screwdriver all at the same time. Truly an exercise in frustration, and I have little tolerance. I had resigned myself to taking my (beautiful knock-off) sunglasses to an optician and paying (more than I paid for them) to have the screws replaced. I happened upon this kit in a store, and once I saw how INCREDIBLE it was, I immediately ordered three more sets. The tiny screws have a long wire at the bottom which is easily inserted in the holes, and which makes it possible to hold the screw in place from below while focusing energy on the tiny screwdriver. The extra wire then can be snapped off using only your fingers (no tools needed). I fixed FIVE PAIRS of broken sunglasses in a matter of minutes. The package says that this invention won an award, and I believe it. So much satisfaction for so little money! Brilliant!!!!!

They work
Allowed me to redo my sprung hinges ... simple and effective. But only 1 of the screws was right size.. so bought a few packs to cover needs..

Snap It - Waste of money and time
I thought this eye glass repair kit was going to help me fix my prescription glasses which have been missing several "special" size screws for some time. Of the three kits I got, there was only one screw that was the size I needed. Seemed like a good idea but like so many "As Seen On TV" products, they always fall short of doing what they claim. That's on me - should have known better.

A NEW DAY HAS DAWNED! Affordable Snap-its! ~$6 for 3 paks is amazing!
If you see this listing and it is still priced at $5.88 ($6-ish), buy a few sets of three. These are half off of suggested retail - three packs go for $12 - and they are a third of the price of buying them in singles ANYWHERE online. Additionally, each of these sets have 6 screws while most other snap-it kits have only 4 screws, which was the original production run.I was blown away at the price point on these. I came online and ordered a couple of singles before I happened upon this 3 pak. I cancelled the others and bought 5 sets of these (15 paks!) for what I am accustomed to paying for three single paks. The problem is that I absolutely am spoiled rotten on these. I can't hold screws in place where normal sets would do fine. The hinges on my glasses - all 4 styles - are just too tight to the stem. No tweezers, pliers, patience or magic allowed me to replace screws. I used magnifying glasses from 3x to a 75X lighted loupe and no go! In fact, replacing screws became an exercise that ended in angry frustration. I'm a pretty smart and handy guy but my fingers are just too fat to fix glasses before these came along. Contrary to common belief, glasses screws are not magnetic metal 99.9% of the time. They are aluminum or another composite so even rare earth pliers would not do it.At this point there are not small snap-off screws available to buy in bulk. The only thing I have found is a specialty optical manufacturer with a 250 piece per size minimum order. God bless the lady who invented these because she and her partners have actually managed to stifle retail, inexpensive multi-pak distribution of snap-off optical screws. It won't be long until snap-off screws are available in a thousand different kits and sizes like you see for regular optical screws on Amazon. When that day arrives I will have LOTS of screwdrivers to use with the loose screws considering I get a screwdriver with every snap-it kit I ever purchased. Hell, maybe I will set up a loose screwdriver business when that happens! In the meantime, purchasing these kits for $2 each is NO PROBLEM! I have objected to the high price points and premiums people were charging for these online but was hooked like a drug addict! Finally I am getting generic pricing for my drug!;-)
