Things are going to get real good real fast.
Very good read, best book so far. I have seen a lot of reviews about this book stating that the book was to short, or nothing much happened, but I disagree. I felt the book moved along at a good pace, I for one could not put it down. This book set up the next book very nicely which I anticipate will probably be longer, and have a lot of action in it, as the book ends with some major questions, and one heck of a cliff hanger. The next book has a lot of potential. I can't wait to see what happensI have heard people mention that they did not like the swearing in the book, but lets be realistic the main charactors are teenagers fighting for their lives in an intergalactic war, do you really think that they are going to talk nice about what they have to do, and all the stuff they have to put up with. I feel that the addition of the swearing made it more realistic. These kids aren't in an after school special they are in a war.If I had one complaint it would be this****************************************SPOILER ALERT IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE BOOK STOP READING NOW ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************I felt that the major twist in this book was quite obvious. I figured out right away that Number 5 was a traitor. The only question I had was why. What would make a member of the garde turn against the others. Lets be honest the Title of the book was a big giveaway to what was going to happen. Most people felt like the fall of five meant that five would die, but that would have been to obvious. I did not buy for a minute that Five managed to contact the Garde, putting his exact location in an internet post, and the garde managed to beat the Mogs to his location. The Mogs have space ships they can get there in a few minutes, and if Five wasn't a traitor they obviously would have been lying in wait to kill five just like they did with two. Then right after 4 and 6 arrives the Mogs attack. That seemed a bit to coincidental, and it was a bit to easy for them to fight off the Mogs. Also five seemed like kind of a wimp. I would have never believed that five would be that ignorant, or that much of a wimp. He seemed to know to much about his own abilities, and how to work with them to be that much of a coward something was definitely up.Five was disturbingly quiet about his past, and would not answer questions. It doesn't matter if he said he was on his own. Six was on her own for a long time, and didn't act like that. Then of course five goes flying off at night, and the next day John and Sarah find Mogs in Chicago retrieving a letter which turned out to be information on them, information that only someone who was with them would have had. Then of course when the others go for fives chest he scouts ahead finds the spot with his chest and then refuses to get his chest. All in all it was a bit obvous, but it adds a very good aspect to the story********************************* END OF SPOILERS *****************************************************

Different in a Good Way
Warning: This review may have spoilers, so if you don't want to hear about the book don't read any further!Ok, now that that's out of the way, I'll start off by saying that I loved this book. It had flaws like all books, but I still found it enjoyable. The main problem I had with this book was the point of views. In about every three chapters or so it'll change point of views (mainly just Sam, John or 4,and Marina or 7) which I'm perfectly fine with, but I wish it would have like Sam- and then continue the chapter. Although, it did in a way say who's point of view it was early on in the chapter I would imagine the events happening with someone else and it wouldget me very … confused. For example (spoiler) during the Capture the Flag part it would change point of views every paragraph or so. Other than that I didn't find any problems. One thing that stuck out to me was the fact that it was less action based. It centered more on the characters rather than action, action, action. It wasn't a bad change at all for me! But I could see how some people would say it was the worst in the series since it has less action, which draws in a lot of fans of series. At the beginning I felt it was very dragged on, it was good ,but I felt no motivation to read on until (spoiler) Adam, the good Mogadorian, and Malcolm, Sam's dad, go to save Sam from the joined forces of the government and Mogadorians. Now, I'll give a brief summary of the book without giving too much spoilers. Now that John, 9,6,8,Ella, Marina, and Sarah are back at the penthouse they (mainly just 4) try to see what their next move should be, while Sam, and his father are on the run to meet the others. After getting a sort of distress call from 5, they manage to track him down. While fighting Mogs who also found 5 they get saved (kinda) by Sam and Malcolm, his dad. 5 automatically doesn't fit in with everyone else and in a way secluded himself. After Marina makes 5 more at ease, the tension between withdrawn 5 and cocky 9 grows. While tension rises, Ella' s nightmares begin to become worse than John and 9's visions. After rummaging through their own chests, the group feels they should go and get 5's chest since it can be of help. Sam and 6's relationship with each other changes as they find out they like each other, but 6's nature makes her feel and know that they can't be together. Then, as they're about to share an intimate moment 8 alerts them of what is happening to Ella. The group try to figure out what's happening to her she touches John and he's sucked into her vivid nightmare like Marina was in the beginning of the book. The group figures that they might as well get 5's chest since it may have something to help them get out of their comatose state. While the group is gone Sam finds out the Mogs know where they are and that they're coming for them. Worried since only Sam, Sarah, and Malcolm are their to protect the injured John and Ella they get ready for an attack. The group at the penthouse may be facing trouble, but the others are also faced with danger as they find out 5 is a traitor and he's lead them into a trap. A fight pursues and 5 offers Marina and 8 a chance to survive on his side with the Mogadorians as he drowns 9. While Marina manages to heal the badly injured 6, 9 still mocks 5 even though he's lying by a tree weakened by 5. 5 tries to kill 9, but 8 gets in the way of 5's blade and sadly dies (fulfilling the prophecy seen in the cave). With 6 healed she goes for 9 in order to escape, but Marina is still shocked by the fact that 5 had just killed her love interest. That's how she developed her newest legacy of ice. She makes the ice stab 5 in the eye and foot, but barely manages to restrain herself from killing 5. Back in the penthouse Adam arrives to help John find and kill the Mogs who have Ella.In review this was different from the other books, but still a was entertaining. Oh yeah, I just wanted to say: WHY!!!!! 8 IS GONE!? MARINA WHY DIDN'T YOU KILL 5 WHILE YOU HAD THE CHANCE!!! Ok yeah that's all just had to let it out.

An engaging read
The Fall of five is an effective continuation of the Lorien saga. It carries on the lives of characters we met in previous books, with some additions, providing valuable insights into them as individuals and heroes. The action and suspense is just as good as in previous installments with some surprises along the way. Tension is increasing as we near the climax of the battle between Lorics and their human allies Mogs but nothing is too obvious. This has confirmed my desire to keep on reading. Highly recommended if you've read the other books.

Muy bueno
La pestaña blanda es mas propensa a doblarse con el tiempo pero el costo lo vale, y con un poco de cuidado también es durable, era regalo y no he podido leerlo

This series has quickly risen to my favourite list!
I am now on the 4th book of this series (The Fall of Five) usually I'm getting bored with a series after the 2nd or 3rd book. However, that's NOT the case with this series! I'm just as interested now as I was whilst reading the 1st book! I can't say enough about this series! It's soooooooo good! It's not like any other series I've ever read (& I've read a LOT!) It's unique, fun, exciting, interesting & such a joy to read! I'm having a VERY hard time putting it down & getting my work done! I LOVE how Pittacus Lore (the author) is such a huge part of the story. (You have to read it to understand what I mean) It's in the "Teen" section, but I think any adult would love it too! I'm 45 & have read many, many books in my life, this series has definately risen to one of my favourites! You will NOT be disappointed in this series! It truly has something for everyone! Love, fighting, magic (for lack of a better term), teens, adults, aliens, humans, males, females, animals and sooooo much more! I'm going to be lost when I'm finished them all.Do yourself a favour & buy these books!!!
