Great snow peeler!
Worked great, removed tons of snow from a low sloped roof with no major problems. The only issue we had was with installation. The small brace brackets didn't both line up with the holes and we had to make some adjustments. Still a great product for a very snowy year. Powder snow was a piece of cake to remove. Heavy wet snow was harder work, and frozen snow took some effort to work the frame through. But it held up nicely and is ready for the next few feet of snow. Spendy, but worth the money considering we sleep better at night knowing the roof won't be coming down on us.

Snow Peeler!
Works relatively well for my roof. I have a very slight pitch to my roof, so there is no way I can do this from the ground. I have to get up on the roof and stand on the peak of the roof to use this. Sort of backward from what you see in the videos. But, if you push it from the peak to the edge of the roof, once it gets to the edge, the snow begins to slide off. Much, much easier than shoveling a roof. I am in my 60s and do not look forward to shoveling a roof when I am 70. This gives me an alternative. We have large sheets of ice that come off the roof in the spring causing a gigantic pile in my driveway. We have a son who needs to enter and exit via a wheelchair lift and the large pieces of ice prevent access to the wheelchair lift. So once that ice comes off the roof, he is trapped inside. This helps us to keep the snow at a minimum on the roof so far. First year I am trying this, and hope that it will help with the snow and ice situation coming off the roof in the spring. I had to modify the snow peeler a bit to keep the plastic sheet from bending and having the snow slide off the backside of it to one side or the other. I put a piece of PVC pipe on the end to keep the loose and straight and bungee cord it to the pole. Today will be the first day that I try that design out. Will try to remember to post back.

Does the job
Short answer: works perfect. Took 18” of snow off my roof quickly. Study, will last a long time.Long answer: maybe I didn’t read well enough, if you have a second story buy 40ft or more depending on you roof. Wish the description had given some advice. I guess I could have went outside and measured, but who does that? So I ordered the extension pieces. 40ft is not light. I did fine, but I thought I would say it. Wielding something that long can be a struggle. Take your time. Don’t slam it on your roof. It will be tempting to drop the rake in place, especially the further you have it away from your body. Was worth it for me. Snow roof removers around where I live charge up to $500 and hour as of 1/20/2023. If you are able, this tool may save you a little money.

It works just as described
Easy instructions to follow. We thought a screw was missing and called to see how to replace it. The call was returned immediately. We found the missing screw. The snow peeler works just as described. It arrived quickly and just in time to remove two feet of snow from the roof.

Heavy Duty
Was a little skeptical when this I ordered this, but it really does work on deep crusted snow on roofs. One word of caution, you need to be in pretty good shape to use it. It's definitely built to last, which also means it has relatively heavy materials. As for the vinyl slide that guides the snow off the roof, be careful it doesn't come straight done on you, but it really works well.

IT WORKS BUT BE PREPARED
PROMOTIONAL VIDEOS SHOW HOW QUICKLY THE UNIT WORKS ON A ROOF. VERY IMPRESSIVE. I WOULD POINT OUT SEVERAL THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE PURCHASING. WHEN USING THIS UNIT WITH ALL OF THE EXTENSIONS ATTACHED, IT IS SIGNIFICANTLY HEAVY. THE SLICK FLEXIBLE ROLL CERTAINLY DOES LET THE SNOW SLIDE DOWN EASILY ENOUGH, BUT DOES HAVE A TENDENCY TO GET CAUGHT UP AND TANGLED ON THE ROOF WHICH NECESSITATES LIFTING UP THE VERY HEAVY 20 FOOT LONG POLE ALMOST VERTICALLY TO LET THE ROLL OF MATERIAL UNTANGLE ITSELF. HEAVEN FORBID YOU HAVE ANY BRANCHES OVERHANGING YOUR HOUSE LIKE I HAVE AS YOU'RE TRYING TO UNTANGLE THE ROLL. AND BEWARE THAT WHEN YOU REMOVE SNOW ON THE ROOF ABOVE YOUR DRIVEWAY THAT YOU WILL HAVE TO SHOVEL YOUR DRIVEWAY WHEN YOU'RE DONE (DUH). IT PROBABLY WORKS BETTER ON NEWLY FALLEN SNOW THAN WHEN THE SNOW HAS BEEN ABLE TO FREEZE FOR A FEW DAYS. AND BE CAREFUL AROUND WINDOWS. THE UNIT IS NOT THAT HEAVY TO PICK UP IN THE BOX, HOWEVER, YOU WILL BE HANDLING IT FROM THE POLE'S END AND IT'S 20 FEET LONG WHEN USING ALL OF THE EXTENSIONS. BE CAREFUL USING IT ABOVE WINDOWS. I WOULD SUGGEST HAVING A SECOND PERSON TO HELP MOVE IT AROUND, MAKING SURE THAT YOU DON'T BREAK A WINDOW WHILE CLOMPING AROUND IN THE SNOW TRYING TO MOVE IT ACROSS YOUR ROOF. OTHER THAN THOSE ISSUES, THE UNIT DOES WORK WELL. JUST BE PREPARED.

Effective but heavy and poor instructions.
I’ve used it once. It worked well on 6” of snow on my shallow roof.*poor instructions** I put the rectangular frame on backwards at first. BTW when you do this the supports are too short to reach the threaded holes on the pole. So the reviewers complaining about that probably had it backwards. The instructions are graphics w no text. It would be a simple change to accentuate the front and back of the frame in the instructions.**Great Cust SrvcWhen I thought the supports were too short I called Cust. Srvc. The woman was professional, patient, knowledgeable, and gracious as I insisted I had it assembled per instructions. Then I saw my error. This is customer service at its best.**HeavyThis is heavy. It has to be given how sturdy the poles are so they won’t bend.I’m 5’7”, closer to 70yrs than 60. I handled it fine. Obviously you can’t hoist it up from the end of the pole, but you don’t need to.

It works.
Worked really well removing up to 2 foot drifts off my roof. Started at the bottom and finished dragging the peeler from the top. Best part is I never had to get near the edge of the roof like when I used a shovel. I stood right on the ridge line and safely worked it from there. Usually the job took me on the ground working a standard roof rake and two people shoveling from the top. I finished the work by myself

Excellent Product
We absolutely love The Snow Peeler! It was very easy to assemble and I was surprised how solid and well built the product was in comparison to other roof snow removal tools we have tried. We live in Northern Ontario and have had a large amount of snow (not as much as NFL) but enough that aprox 3.5 feet had accumulated on our roof. The head of the tool was able to cut through the packed snow with relative ease and then it just slid right off the roof on the attached tarp. The bottom of the head has 2 plastic runners that glide along the shingles to prevent any damage. The Snow Peeler did become a bit difficult to maneuver when the handles were at the full 20ft length but that was an easy fix by choking up on the handle when repositioning it. All in all we could not be happier with this purchase.

Snowpeeler
The product was well kitted with all parts and quantities identified in the assembly instructions. I found it very easy to put together. I used it at my cabin. It was easy to use and cut the snow into blocks that then came off the roof with ease. I did not attach the slide but that was just my choice. I would recommend this product to anyone that needs to remove snow off your roof.

Great product
Great product the only complaint would be that an extreme amount of assembly is required for such a simple product.

Cuts through snow
The media could not be loaded. We got this late in a very snowy winter, when the snow layer was packed hard and ice had formed during periodic melts.Removed snow easily; but rode over the icy layer closest to the roof.Fairly good reach (only needed 15’ of the included pole sections for most of the roof). It was easy; but cumulatively a workout. I’m over 60, and found it relatively simple.Safer than being on roof, shovelling traditionally. And WAY less strenuous!Glad we have it! Looking forward to using it from the onset of next season!
