Really Great Support Product for Arthritic Knees
I'm 54 and need knee replacements. I have bone on bone pain. I've had cortisone shots, gel shots; and they have helped. But when you live in Chicago and have to walk on snow and ice, I needed to find a product that would give me a lot of support, like a type of protection and be invisible under my pants, as well as adding some warmth around my bad knees. This started me researching what products were on the market to help me and stave off the surgery for a while. After weeks of research, I found MAVA sports had these great knee support products. They have been lifesavers. They not only give me the support I need, but they've helped me in walking up and down on icy, snowy stairs. Or walking through mounds of snow. I am able to sit at my desk at work and get up with relative ease from that desk because my knees have your supports on them. When you have bad knees, balance is difficult because of the pain. I don't go anywhere from my house without wearing those knee supports. Your supports have allowed me to stand a little longer than normal. Also, they have helped ease some of the pain in my knees. I was so thrilled that MAVA started making them in larger sizes, and because my knees are swollen,I needed a larger size, without having them roll down.I even sent my brother a pair of your knee supports because he needs a knee replacement as well and he said he found them very helpful.Thank you MAVA for making quality products. And can I recommend that you continue to make your product in larger sizes.

Great for pain and swollen knees!
I decided to order these based on reviews and was happy to see you get a pair for the same price of a single from their competitors. I was a little skeptical they may be of lesser quality but that doesn't appear to be the case at all. I took the measurements according to their instructions and was at the upper range of a medium. Wanting a snug fit in case these stretch out like others I've tried, I ordered the mediums. So far these are snug and provide good compression. After reading countless reviews it seems apparent to me you just have to try a couple sizes or brands to find the one that works best for you. For $20 a pair, these are well worth trying and I would recommend them. If you find an issue with these return them and try another size or brand. The Ultraflex are nice too, but double the price and similar results for me.Update: while I like the look and compression these provide, I had issues with these staying in place after the first day. They tended to work their way down my thigh and slightly bunch up behind my knee. I found my self pulling them up pretty frequently. I really like them, but I need a sleeve that will stay in place. Returning and going to try another brand.

Great compression knee sleeves
I saw these on prime day and decided to try them out since I have knee trouble. I have been wearing them for three days now and absolutely love them. They have not slipped down, they fit perfectly. I am 5‘8“ and my thighs are about 18 inches. So I had to get the XL. I was afraid they might be a little too loose, but they are perfect! I have not washed them yet, so I am hoping that they will hold up. And if they do, I will purchase another pair. Even though in the photo they look like they’re too tight, because the little bit of bulging, but they are not. They don’t hurt me at all. Keep in mind that compression sleeves and even socks are supposed to be tight.11/25/18 UPDATE: I have wash these on delicate several times, and they are holding up perfectly!

Definitely worth it!
I basically have no cartilage left in my knees. Years and years of soccer, skiing, bicycle racing, racquetball and etc.. Blown ACL and arthritis. BUT, I remain very active at 72 yro. I have several heavy prescribed knee braces; with metal hinges and cross wraps. I hate those. They're hot, they snag on everything and become a stinky, sweaty pain in tzuchis.Especially when getting in and out of my kayak. But these Mava support sleeves are great! I wouldn't rely on them for skiing or racquetball, but general support for everyday, my regular workouts and water sports they are very effective.

Good support for veins during pregnancy
I have ordered a few different sleeves and they haven’t worked for one reason or another. These though, are great. I have this patch of veins that pop up on the back of my leg during every pregnancy (I’m 5 months right now) and lately they are incredibly painful when I am standing. My doctor suggested I wear compression leggings but...I’m not a leggings girl and it’s summer so I’d like to be able to wear shorts. This gives great support and helps so much with the pain (also covers the not-so-pretty purple patch) so I can wear shorts. Definitely measure your thigh and don’t guess based on pants size (I’m a 2-4 and the size large fits snug but well). I also like that for the price of most other single sleeves, you get two. The thick stretch knit seems to be very good quality, and so far, they stay up well.

Highly recommended
I have ran and squatted with the sleeve supports and they are very comfortable. I am 5'8 and 180lbs and decided to get the M size and they fit perfect, hope that information helps someone out. Highly recommended, I don't have knee pain but I did want to support my knees since I do a good amount of running, basketball, and leg workouts in a week.

The usual super quality and extra comfy!
I have the original Mava knee sleeves, shin tights, elbow sleeves, and tights and shirts. I love Mava stuff. It's just done right and not over the top pricey. You can't go wrong with these. Put 'em on; tighten the strap and not only are they super comfy but don't move, at all. Easy to wear for extended periods. A bit cooler than the other still. I love 'em.

Great Product!
I received these about a month ago. I have constant pain in my right knee due to ACL surgery many years ago. My left knee also causes me some pain from old age loss of cartilage. I put these on both knees and wore them for the entire day. They are very comfortable and provided excellent support. When i took them off my right knee was not swollen as it usually is after a day on my feet. They are made of thicker material than most other braces I have tried. They stay up fairly well but do scrunch up behind the knee a bit. I wear them every day now and they really help with the pain.Definitely better than any other knee support I have tried.

A very happy buyer - running pain free again - hopeful :)
I've been running for about 1 year, and since reaching longer distances (over 15km), especially when I push myself, I have suffered considerable knee pain on the side of my knee. This has sometimes stopped my running training and is also a constant worry. So, I started looking for some sort of knee support to see if this would help.Based on good reviews, this was the first knee support I've tried. I've used it for two long runs (over 10 kms) and so far I'm impressed. For both runs it definitely seemed to stop knee pain during the run and I didn't get my usual knee pain for the day or two after the run.The supports are sturdy and seem as if they will wear well.I find them a little uncomfortable to wear (they are obviously hotter than wearing nothing, seemed a little itchy on my sensitive skin, and are quite tight). But I don't notice this too much once I start running. The top of the supports also have a small tendency to roll down, but not too much and easy to pull up again.Given the dramatic improvement in removing knee pain, I am happy with the minor 'niggles' above. This is the only knee support I've tried, so I can't say if they are better than any others. Knee supports seem to be one of those very personal things - what works for some doesn't seem to work always for others. This worked for me.

Very supportive
I have had lots of knee supports of this type over the years and the acid test is how long the elasticity lasts. ie How long before they go baggy and cease to support the knee. These seem to be above average quality (as reflected in the price) and are serving me well at the moment. I should point out that I only use them for specific tasks, mainly playing golf or gardening etc. after which I take them off because if you keep them on for longer they become really uncomfortable and probably not good for your knees long term either.Note: I am male and in my late 60's having played lots of sport (football, squash etc) and crashed my motorcycle(s) a few times as well, so my knees deserve to be worn out, however these supports do help a lot. I would recommend them.

Very tight if your measurements are right at the top of their size ranges. Measure carefully!
The sizing of these seems just about right, from my experience. My legs have been pretty athletic over the years (!) and fit right at the top of the L-large range, after I'd done the appropriate measuring. I wondered whether to go up to XL or stick with L, but I just couldn't see why I would go for compression sleeves and not have them compress me enough. The years of atheticism have compressed my knee cartilage and, rather than suffer with arthritic pain just because I've stayed fairly fit I thought I'd use these to help comfort when working outdoors, both in terms of knee support and also general warmth - because cold on occasionally painful "iffy" joints isn't especially pleasant, so why suffer it?On me, the L size is very tight. Not to the point of affecting circulation or anything like that, but not especially pleasant for someone who's right on the border between L and XL. If the XL is anything like this, it would actually be too comfortable and not a compression sleeve at all with my measurements right at the bottom of the range. Frankly it would have been better for Mava to have made overlapping ranges, so there's always a pair of compression sleeves that any of us can use that have our individual measurements somewhere in the middle of the range - in which case I'd have gone with the L-XL rather than the L or the XL - if you get my drift.I've worn them for long mornings working on a friend's garden and suffered no ill effects, although the lack of sensation through them makes wearing heavy clothes feel a bit strange.I'll probably use them also when cycling just to help keep the temperature up in my joints, which can get quite chilled when the weather's cold enough. They look well made and I don't forsee any major problems long-term with them, although I wouldn't complain if they stretched just a little bit! In fact, I'm counting on it!

Great supports
After looking at these supports for a few weeks, I bought a pair after measuring I got the medium size which fit perfectly. Having just had an operation on my knee I needed supports. these are very comfy and supportive and can wear them all day with them not slipping down. Overall a very good and comfy support.

They are snug so feel like they hold everything in place and I have little ...
As with most people who wear these, I've had problems with my knees for a while, which is a bit of a pain (pun intended) when I teach PE, play netball and go to the gym 5 times a week! I spent most of the time trying to deal with pain, either pushing through and taking pain relief after or limiting what I can do. These knee sleeves have made a huge difference and I'm not sure how!I wear them when I head to the gym and when I play netball and they increase my range of movement and how hard I can push myself. I keep them on for about 30 minutes after I've finished my session to help aid recovery too. They are snug so feel like they hold everything in place and I have little issue with them slipping down my leg due to the silicon grip at the top. I've recommended them to most of my netball club (too many with knee issues) and other netballers have asked about them. I cannot recommend these enough!
