The steel attachment rusts. Who would have thought to have aluminum parts for outside equipment?! Well, has some annoying kid broken your screen door? No worries, hoss! Just by one of these ring dingalings - easy to install! And now my screen door shuts like it should. Wouldn't it be great if all of life worked that way? Just sayin'

I installed one of these on a screen door hoping to get a controlled, consistent close. What happens instead is that you open the door to about 90 degrees against the tension of the closer and when you release the door, it immediately swings more than half way closed, then bounces back to about 45 degrees and then closes slowly and gradually. I have adjusted it in every possible way, but this same behavior persists. So you open the door and then it basically whacks you in the back of the legs as you try to go through the doorway and then closes in a controlled and gradually manner. I even bought a second one thinking that the first was defective, but it operated identically.

I bought this even though a few other reviewers said they received defective units. I figured those were flukes and their quality couldn't be that bad, could it? Wrong. Installed it and didn't get the door closed a single time before all the hydraulic fluid poured out of the unit. This company's quality is in the dumpster, along with this pneumatic door closer.

I bought this one to replace the cylinder on my screen door and it was a perfect fit. This is adjustable so the door closes fast without slamming, and allows the door to open to a full 90 degrees. It comes with all hardware, but all I used was the cylinder and the slide nut from the package -opting to use the existing hardware already installed on the door. I have to change these about every six years, and the hardware is pretty universal between brands, so for the price this is a super easy repair/replacement. I have dogs (plural), so my screen door gets plenty of use letting them in and out.

Easy to install for people who aren’t handy about the house and it does the job for my door. My one problem, and the reason I came back to write a review, was there is smelly black stuff that keeps coming out the main part of it and every time I try and prop the door open with the little latch that crap gets all over my hands— it’s so darn hard to wash off! Listen I just hope it’s a safe lubricant and not some poison man or somebody’s gonna sue somebody

Very easy to install. Worked great... for about 2 weeks and it broke.I loved it so much I bought another one. Same thing. Worked great for a couple weeks and broke!Really unfortunate since I really loved the slow tailgate drop. Now I can't get used to the old way.

5 MONTH UPDATE: Has been seeing alot of use with my kids frequently going in and out and forcing the door closed. Still working perfectly...I have no complaints.Its no secret that this door closer is cheaply made and probably wont last many years, but for the price i paid i think its fine. It'll do the job for awhile. It is working well on a fairly heavy glass door. I will update this review over time to let ya'll know if its still working ok.
