I like that allot
The media could not be loaded. I bought this as a backup for the imminent loss of a similar product (unfortunately I misplace tools allot). It's very bright. I like that allot. It's held up nicely for the few weeks that I've had it. I only gave it three stars because of how the magnet is retained in the pocket clip.My other flashlight of this style (which I actually HAVE lost now) wasn't as bright as this one, but the magnet was molded into the pocket clip - so was a permanent part of the clip. The flashlight slid in-n-out of my pocket easily. Very strong magnet too. Attached very well to wherever I put it to make it a hanging light within those tight, little areas I must stick my hands into while working on commercial cooking equipment. I never had any issues. Why does this matter?AGAIN - that was a different brand than THIS one. After seeing this one rated so high, I ordered it.THIS FLASHLIGHT is different though. Its magnet floats loosely within a slot in the pocket clip and is only retained there by virtue of it being snuggled up against the flashlight body. So, with it having to rely upon that communal relationship to keep the magnet in place, it's not a solid part of the pocket clip itself. As such, I've had a few occasions when the flashlight wouldn't go in my pocket due to the magnet getting all contrary. At one point in my very frequent usage, the flashlight wouldn't stick to a metal panel I needed it to. That was an impromptu aggravation since, in such a moment of my being there to fix other people's stuff, I really didn't want to be stopping myself to be fix my flashlight.Upon writing this review, I did a little video you see above. In doing so, I discovered that the magnet actually sticks to the metal flashlight body most often...and then to what is probably a metal strip within the pocket clip all other times. That's been somewhat problematic and has failed to perform as expected when I really needed it to work.I realize this seems a minor grievance, but it seems that the overall concept of its design is hindered by the cheesy construction of what's otherwise a great little feature these types of flashlights have (that magnet). This flashlight so happens to have now been promoted to being the only one I have (due to my loss of that other one), so I'm looking to purchase yet ANOTHER backup. I'm still sitting on the fence in deciding whether I will purchase this flashlight again, only due to this seemingly minor flaw in its construction. I don't know. IT'S...JUST...SO...BRIGHT...that I just still might.***Three week UPDATE***I've toted this flashlight around with me about three weeks now and use it a dozen or more times daily. That pocket clip magnet issue has really proven to not be of further consequence - despite its looseness. More often than not, I've hitched it into my shirt pocket without realizing that "HEY! It WENT!" This product's other attributes have overshadowed that little flaw anyway. If the pocket clip magnet has gotten loose, I've learned to simply give the pocket clip a little squeeze in towards the body and it temporarily re-seats the magnet. This is a terrific and extremely bright flashlight and comes in handy in so many ways - especially for my tired, old eyes. Prior to my initial review, I hadn't realized that it has a second, VERY powerful magnet at its base - which isn't the case with the other manufacturer's flashlights I've owned that mimic this design. Note in the picture I've posted showing it stuck to my icky garage refrigerator. If only I didn't happen to regularly work on so much stainless steel stuff, that could be a huge benefit (magnets don't stick to S.S.).The Ellegantz Quality Products LTD folks were so good as to send me another flashlight, given the supposed failure of the epoxy which they said retains the magnet. Well...the replacement flashlight did the same thing as their first flashlight I'd originally purchased. The magnet easily worked itself free from within the pocket clip and sticks to the flashlight body. So...it is what it is. I've learned to deal with it.Nevertheless, I truly want to thank Ellegantz Quality Products LTD in their rapid efforts to appease a new customer. I WILL be buying from them again. OH...and I've bumped my review up from three to five stars.***Six week UPDATE***I said I'd be back. I just bought EIGHT more. This flashlight has held up extremely well and has proven to be superior to any other flashlight I've ever owned. My "Larry" flashlight has now been relegated to playing second fiddle as a backup.I still have TWO of these Ultra Bright flashlights (one extra - thanks to the great customer service) and, in two days, I'll have a third one for myself - plus seven more to divvy out to each of my co-workers as Xmas gifts.

Very nice little light!
I needed a light for work in electrical panels of a powered-down machine. We had used huge 500W Halogen work lights on stands in the past that were a pain to carry around and plug in to a distant outlet. This time around, I decided to try battery-powered lights and these won the shop-off due to price and features advertised. Bought two, one for myself and one for a co-worker.This thing rocks as long as you have a metal surface to stick one of its magnets to. It is very bright and illuminates half of a 3' x 3' cabinet very nicely... just move it if you need to see the other half as well. It is small enough to be hidden out of the way or behind a metal strut that is already in the way. The base magnet is plenty strong to keep it sticking horizontally out from a wall. The much weaker magnet in the clip is enough to hold it in place in an up/down orientation, in a left/right orientation if you're lucky.Whichever magnet you use to stick it, it will drop like a rock if you bump it, so make sure it's stuck out of the way of elbows and such. That said, they both survived numerous drops from 3-5 feet up onto either a metal cabinet floor or concrete floor and still kept kicking. I even dropped mine into a pool of hydraulic oil and kept using it the rest of the week. If it does drop onto its on/off button, it might start acting up and either not turn on or not turn off. I did end up disassembling mine and fixing the little ballpoint pen-type clicker... cleaned the oil out of it while I was at it.Pros:- Very bright and floods the space with light- Sturdy aluminum construction- Strong base magnet- Clip magnet- The clip swivels around in order to aim the light where you need it.Cons:- Seems to eat batteries. AAA x 3, would be noticeably dimmer at the end of one day of 8-10 hours use. However, I don't have a frame of reference for any other battery light and how long they might last on a set of batteries.- The button top is press-fit in place. Mine loosened noticeably, making the swiveling clip loose. Probably from getting dropped a few times.

Comparison review
This is a quick comparison review of the Ultra Bright 160 Pocket pen Work Light and 2 of the similar NEBO Larry models which this unit is based off of. I purchased a NEBO Big Larry AA $18.76, a NEBO Lil Larry AAA $17.90 and this one $13. This unit has the aluminum body of the Lil Larry, but has 9 individual led elements. It also has the swiveling magnetic pocket clip of the old Larry C model. This is very bright for its size. Should be similar to the Lil Larry AAA. However it doesn't have the the second option of the red LED flasher of the Lil Larry. The swiveling clip is of dubious use because the magnet is not strong enough to hold the light horizontally. The weight of the light will drag the light down to a vertical orientation. This is a very good light and cheaper than the comparable Lil Larry. It is solidly made and should serve you for a good spell.Unless you don't have the room, I would first recommend the Big Larry. For less than $6 you get the brighter 400 lumen mode, a lower 170 lumen mode (like the other two) and the red flashing mode. I think it makes the perfect light to keep in your vehicle and/or tool box.If that is too big and you are going to keep a light in a vehicle where a red flashing warning light might really save your life, I'd spend the extra $5 and get the Lil Larry. If you want to keep a similar light in your pocket, I'd look for a older design that is plastic. These newer designs with aluminum bodies seem to be much heavier. Just too heavy in MHO to carry around in your pocket.
