Excellent alternative to Magpul's QD Sling Base option.
First of all, these QD sling bases comes 2 per pack. They appears to be well made and in the USA. The threads were clean and precisely cut. I've bought 3 packs for my Magpul MOE fixed stocks. The sockets (all 6) fits my Magpul MS4 sling perfectly.I have 3 Magpul MOE fixed carbine stocks that needs 6 QD Sling bases. Magpul sells their QD bases for $14 on the first side and an additional $19 for the second side. I been looking for an economical alternative for quite awhile. I almost bought the another type of QD sling base (without the machined outer threads) before I've found these GROVTEC sling bases. I am glad that I've waited, because these are so much better and easier to install.I've read other reviews where they've simply screwed these cups directly into the 1/2" molded holes in the stock. However, it would be better to spend the additional $10 or so and a little more time for a 9/16" - 18 thread bottom tap and cut the proper thread. It won't needlessly over stress the plastic holes and potentially crack it over time.A few tips on installing these QD sling bases on Magpul stocks.1. Run the 9/16" - 18 tap just deep enough for all but the last thread. This will give you a nice firm fit on the last rotation of the QD sling base. If you cut the threads a bit deep, not to worry. The 2-part epoxy will fix that.2. De-grease the threads on the QD sling base before insertion.3. Apply 2-part epoxy to the threads of the newly threaded hole, just before installing the QD cup. Do NOT apply the epoxy to the threads on the QD cup, because it will be squeezed out and make a mess.4. Thread the QD sling base in until it is flush with the top of the hole.5. Wait until the epoxy fully cures before use (usually 24 hrs for most epoxy).

Perfect and really fast shipping
I got these for a Luth-AR stock with QD pockets. They thread in perfectly straight and just under flush. That aside, this seller shipped faster then usual prime. It took just under 48 hours from purchase to my mailbox. Really impressed with this seller. If you actually read these reviews, this one is the best bang for the buck.

Good quality product.
I drilled holes in my bolt action wooden stock and installed these. Very good quality.

Great upgrade
I had a damaged QD base in a Springfield Waypoint that needed replaced. After doing some research online grovtec seemed like the best choice. It was a quick and simple swap. Took less than 10 minutes even with using a tap on the stock. Definitely can tell the quality in the grovtec base over the base I replaced on the rifle.

Bases Not Machined Properly - UPDATED!
I bought these qd bases to use in my Luth AR Stock. After inserting two bases (one on either side of the stock) I found one of the bases did not work properly. When a QD stud was inserted it would not lock in place and popped out under only modest pressure. Upon closer inspection of the base I found that the edge of the insert was sharp and had not be machined completely. I asked Amazon for a refund but they have directed me instead to the manufacturer for warranty. I am waiting to hear back from them. I am especially unhappy with Amazon thatI cannot simply return a obviously defective product.*********UPDATE******************I sent an email to the manufacturer and they responded immediately. They understood the issue and sent me replacements later that day. I could only hope all companies were as responsive as they were. One star still off for Amazon no stepping up. Product is solid.

Impressed and holds really well. A1/A2 butt stocks
All I run is QD sling in an cmmg A1 length butt stock now. It holds really well. I did put a small amount of gorilla glue just in case but its been strong and I have done lots of pressure to it since I use the sling a lot. Its been like 2 or 3 months that I installed it. If i'm not wrong I did use the 1/2 drill bit to make the hole then use the drill to screw in the qd base. It is not perfectly flush because just me being lazy not removing the borders after drilling but I really didn't care it works great. A great way to modernize the A1/A2 butt stock.
