Indispensible
My dog isn't the greatest listener, despite lots of training, and has some issues with people, so she's always attached to this thing when we're on the trail, even if no one's around. Yes it's a pain in the butt for both of us sometimes because she gets tangled and ties knots around branches here and there, but I can stop her in her tracks if anyone's coming up the trail or if she gets it in her head to chase a bear cub or something, simply by standing on it (I'm 160 lbs, she's 60 lbs). The dog and I have been using this lead daily for over a year through four-season extremes, left it outside every night, let it freeze, and it has held up well. A bit faded and a little snagged, but it has taken lots of abuse and is still functioning just fine. Worth every penny. Would be best attached to a harness instead of a collar. And best not used around people with poor reflexes - took my brother-in-law a month to recover from a rope burn on his calf, poor guy.

Does the job for “supervised” outings. Not for unsupervised, long durations.
Long, bright, and sturdy. Make certain your dog doesn’t chew through it. They won’t snap it, buy running (or tugging) but it’s not one I’d recommend purchasing, with the intent to tether your dog for long durations (or leaving them unsupervised). We use it so she can roam out front (potty breaks) & in the park, so we can stay on the porch, knowing that our GSD won’t escape (or lunge at any pedestrians).Sturdier than basic rope. Not as sturdy as most common leashes.

Does not freeze in the snow and does not tangle easily
I love this rope. I now have to tie my little dog in our large fenced yard because the deer are becoming aggressive in the spring time when they have babies and she will go after them and could get stomped. I also tie my dog before 8:00 am because she is a bit of a barker and I don't want to disturb my neighbors. This rope is fabulous and does not freeze hard in the winter time like my last lead rope. This rope also stays clean and does not gather dirt on it unlike the other one that I had and always got my hands dirty. The orange color makes it easy to see when it is slightly snow covered or at night when the lighting is dim.

Super impressive Training Lead! Would Recommend 10/10!!!
This is a great training rope if you have a dog you are trying to teach recall training with. I got the 3/8th 50ft, and It's just long enough that i can tie it up somewhere and just work with my dog. The rope is good quality, and the point where the clip is connected is extremely strong!!! The stitching probably will never break on you. I have a small husky puppy, and had this product for a few months. When not paying attention my pup had chewed on the stitched point a few times without it coming undone at all! I think the leather wrap does a great job of protecting it. I used to tie this rope to the back of my trailer hitch on my truck during training sessions. A couple time i accidentally drove off with it still attached to my truck. This caused the connector to get scratched up really good on a 10min drive a couple occasions, but it didn't affect the functionality of it at all! Super impressed!I finally had to throw the old one away, and buy a new one when I accidentally left the rope tied to my truck, and tried to drive off with the connector wrapped around a tree. The impressive part is the stitching itself did not come undone...the rope itself actually snapped from the tension with one end still tired to my truck, and the other end still wrapped around a tree, with the connector STILL working perfectly fine and stitched to the rope!I didn't hesitate to invest in a new one, and I'm sure if i'm a lot more careful with this one it will last significantly longer! Would recommend this 10/10!

I bought this rope in 2017 and it's been outside 24x7 since
It's now Sept 2020. I bought this rope in 2017 for about $20 and it's been outside 24x7x365, winter/summer, rain/sleet/hail/sunshine, you name it. We use it multiple times per day to put the dog out into your large, unfenced backyard. Luckily there's a tree in the middle of my yard that I can tether it to. Dog has full access to all the grass in the yard. It finally broke tonight as Dog ran hard to tree a squirrel. I'm finally replacing it. I couldn't be happier.

Simple, strong.
I just received this lead and it seems very solid and well made. There's a clip on one end and the other end is nothing, just rope. I used a bowline knot to make a loop on the clip-opposite end and tied that end around a tree. So far, it holds up well for my 50 pound dog. He likes to chase so there's always the fear that he'll run away if unleashed, and yet I feel he needs to be able to run around the yard. With this long lead, problem solved. He has plenty of room to roam, smell, use the bathroom, and yet he can't get off our property.

Not 50 feet
We previously bought a 20ft training rope. We wanted something similar in sturdiness but 50ft. This arrived and is thinner and less sturdy and not 50ft, I don’t know if we got they wrong one, but I ordered 50 ft and a 20 foot rope arrived.

Very happy with it it works great when my dog is ...
Very happy with it it works great when my dog is off leash in big wide open spaces. It does get stuck on things occasionally when he's running through the woods. I recommend you only use a harness with this, not a collar, because when it does catch if hes in full run it would choke him with the collar. But rarely gets caught on anything. I'd give it a 5 but the clasp that clips to the harness is a tiny bit small so I can't hook it to both sides of the clasp. I realize this particular harness needs a bigger one so it'll probably work great for most but if you have a harness that has two clasps that come together for you to clip this to it barely fits.
