Slightly bigger & thicker than Walmart bags. Solid seam, will even hold liquid
When we had cats, we kept a case like this next to the litter box. Super convenient, and I actually switched out just about all the trash cans in the house with smaller ones, and use grocery bags as liners. Then I found this listing on Amazon. At around $20 + free shipping, these are a better value than the bags we've been using ...and better quality than most grocery store bags!:• These are slightly thicker than Walmart bags (these are 0.491 mil, whereas Walmart bags are about 0.33 mil)• These are slightly bigger than Walmart bags (these are 22" tall, whereas Walmart bags are under 20")• And, these have a better seam than Walmart bags. After about 500 bags, we haven't found a single hole or rip yet.I have to admit ...I'll even pour liquid in the bag sometimes (i.e., dump out half a cup of coffee in the trash bag). It has never leaked. I do continue to double-bag food trash or wet trash, but still, never a single leak! These are not thick like a lawn bag (which is 1.1 mil). But still, that's pretty impressive to hold liquid (I would never try that with a grocery store bag).We used to keep the plastic bags from the grocery store for re-use around the house. But I cannot stress the space-savings of crumpled-up used bags vs. a case of 1,000 neatly folded new bags under the kitchen sink. There is only one drawback worth mentioning - the bags are heat-sealed together at the handles, making them hard to peel apart sometimes.Previously, we collected our used plastic bags for trash can liners. Now, we can use our cloth bags at the grocery store, and never again have to deal with crumpled up plastic bags.

Great Bags
These are great bags. They are good quality, don't tear easily, and the handles hold up to the weight of the purchase. The 'Thank You' on the outside of the bag is a nice touch. They come in clusters and hang nicely on a bag holder; they tear off smoothly as well. Tons of bags for a great price.

The madness of having to buy what you will have to throw away
Yes! Plastic bags for my kitchen garbage again! I live in a hipster enclave that thinks collectively, with hive mentality, that buying large, heavy, draw-string plastic bags for garbage disposal is somehow more earth friendly than reducing one's trash as far as possible through packaging reduction, assiduous recycling, and using thin plastic bags from prior shopping trips for the small amount you actually have to send to the landfill. As a result, I was reduced to purchasing these bags in self-defense, after I finally ran out of my carefully curated reserve, more than two years into a ban on plastic bags from retail merchants. I have used everything conceivable to contain my trash during that time, but we recently had a family member move back into our house, and empty cereal boxes just aren't going to cut it anymore for three people! These bags are medium weight and well manufactured (e.g. they do not have those annoying tears in the bottom that let particles sift out of the bag). They fit my kitchen wastebasket that was specifically designed to hold used shopping bags. Tie off the handle when the bag is full, off to the dumpster, and voila, order is restored! I am dedicated to simplicity, economy, and common sense. These simple bags have restored equilibrium in my household. I estimate that these will last about 65.5 months at the rate we currently use them, so win-win-win. Oh, and a big raspberry to former Austin Mayor Lee Leffingwell and his minions on the previous city council.

CA Voters are STUPID!!
Love these bags! I live in CA where unfortunately, there were more morons than sane people who voted for the plastic bag ban. If any of those idiots would have actually done some research, they would know that the bag ban will have a nominal impact on the environment. And they are so idiotic, they actually voted down a separate measure that would have prevented grocery stores from charging us for bags. BTW, that involves the stores SELLING even thicker, larger plastic bags. Let me see if I follow correctly, plastic bags are bad for the environment, so let's ban plastic bags. But at the same time, allow stores to sell even more plastic, which is bad for the environment. Wait, what?!! WTF?!!! Doesn't even make sense!! Idiots!!!So I'm not going to allow myself to be impacted and inconvenienced due to other peoples' stupidity. Enter these wonderful bags. Durable and work just like the bags that were banned. I just place them on the conveyer in front of my groceries and enjoy the checker's perplexed look as they have to peel the bags one by one and bag my groceries. It's hilarious. $21.00 for a thousand bags, very solid deal. Oh, and I just downstream the cost into the economy (as is what happens with most idiotic liberal initiatives). I take the cost out of tip money. When I go out to eat, I typically tip around 18 percent. I scale that back to 15 percent until I recoup the cost. Not the waiter's fault, of course. But neither is it my fault that we have so many stupid voters in this State. Waiters will need to find their own way to downstream the cost into the economy.

THE SIZE IS GOOD
I thought the bags would be smaller but the size is great. the sheerness is not terrible and the durability, well that is yet to be seen. i have seen flimsier bags from supermarkets and i feel that these will at least hold regular groceries and not fall apart like other bags do. we still use our own canvas bags but once in a while we forget if they are in the laundry. so these will be kept in the car just in case. i know paper is better for the environment but omg they are a pain to handle at times and they rip so easily. so these will be reused multiple times and then used as doggy bags eventually so i will get a lot of uses out of them before discarding. the price and quantity was good, they come 10 stacks of 100 bags in a medium box and delivery was quick. good overall purchase.

Good value for the money
The product arrived on time and was exactly like the picture. They resemble biodegradable bags. They will work well for what I needed them for. I stocked up as it is becoming harder to find plastic shopping bags now
