A great new voice for the blues rock fan
A young band from Vancouver, Canada, featuring a Janis Joplin-like singer, Colleen Rennison, guitarist Eric Campbell, drummer Ian Browne and bassist Parker Bossley.Kicking off with hard driving title song, you can tell these guys are something special. The slow songs really bring out the sultry bluesy best in Ms. Rennison. The faster rockin' songs or the slower bluesy all seem like they are written and performed by seasoned veterans of rock. So much soul and feeling in the lyrics and music. These guys are amazing and still so young.

A Pleasant Suprise
I bought this cd after hearing the title track on the radio. i can say the rest of the cd is just as good. songs are a bit edgy and not polished in spots, excellent female vocals, a bit of a throw back cd one might say. - recommended -

Old school bluesy rock
Very surprised to discover this Canadian group of blues rockers. This not a guitar virtuoso based blues rock like SRV or Bonamassa, The sound hinges on Colleen Rennison's wonderfully gritty vocals. (Rennison was a child actor on TV and movies. The band's name is the backwards spelling of her last name.) The band is a tight unit. The guitar solos are competent but not memorable. The strengths are good songwriting and Rennison's vocals. Her range is limited, and you hear it's limitations on the high notes. But this is blues rock, people, where the vocals are supposed to be rough and tumble. Her voice is excellently suited to the material. The sad truth is that this kind of music doesn't get played on the radio. If it were, No Sinner would be getting some serious notice.

Their talent is off the planet Brill.
I found this band in a round about way. When I first heard a track by them,I thought I would give them a go. I searched for more tracks. After that I was hooked. To try and describe their music is a bit difficult. They bring together so many different styles of music. You get rock, ballads, rockabilly, blues/rock a touch of jazz with a bit of funk and touch of soul. Their music is foot stomping good. To be able to do that and make the music sound great,is a rare talent to have. Colleen has the type of voice that can change with complete ease. The fellas in this band are simply brilliant. Again they can change their style with complete ease. They go from throaty raw playing to soft and gentle. If you want a complete band, then look no further.

Don't 'Boo Hoo Hoo' - give it a listen !
It all started with an Amazon free download ............ The brilliant, tub-thumping title track 'Boo Hoo Hoo' opens proceedings with its driving drums and epic feel and paves the way for a very enjoyable album. The track opens with a bang, slows down in the middle, has one of those deafening silences before kicking back in to the chorus and finishes with a fade out. Excellent. No Sinner are built around the superb voice of Colleen Rennison (think Imelda May meets Beth Hart meets Caro Emerald). 'Love is a Madness' is a brooding, moody love song whilst the rock'n'roll style 'Runnin' opens with a T-Rex style riff (reminds me of 'Get It On') and rattles along at a cracking pace. 'Rise Up' is a slower almost anthemic track.I could go through all of the tracks (there are sadly only 9) and all offer something - in fact it is a quite varied album. Not all are great but 'Devil On My Back' is another highlight. I really like this album but can't quite bring myself to give it 5 stars. I wonder what they would be like live ? Long way to Canada to find out !

Certainly one of the better cds I've bought recently
Just a short review. Certainly one of the better cds I've bought recently. Showing there's a lot of new talent knocking on the door.It shows in the freshness. First three track as, for me okay, but I really liked the rest of the stuff. I would certainly recommend this to blues fans.
