Amazing product. High quality compression and steel with simple install and slick finish. The only tricky part is the measurements you make on the inside of the hood panel and the side panel. Double and triple check.I had mine off by a quarter inch that caused me to put too much force on the fitting when I tried to hook it up after the bracket install. Well, I managed to break one of the clips in that fitting trying to force a square into a circle. I contacted the seller and they responded within a couple hours and had my new part, free of charge mailed to me and at my door within the week.The broken part was pure user error. Don't fear that it's easily breakable, the fitting -measured correctly- just pops right on. It will break if you try to tap it on with a hammer, like I did.It works like a charm. Smooth up and down and no worries about slippage or weakness. I'd you're like me and go under the hood a lot, than this accessory is a no brainer.

I am 72 years old with arthritis in my shoulders. I could barely lift the hood of my 2010 Tacoma to check the oil. I relied on the reviews on Amazon and chose this bad boy. The pair works better than expected; it holds the hood up without additional support.My mechanic is happy because the installation went well.Hightly recommended.

Needed YouTube videos to supplement the printed instructions. Color pics in supplied instructions were kinda dark, and would've been clearer with a couple of overview shots to show where the mounts were going. Results are outstanding anyway - no mere "heavy lifting" to check fluid levels. Wish I'd seen this product sooner. Highly recommend for somebody comfortable with a drill and blind rivet tool.

I struggled a little with the install because I had never used a rivet gun and the first time I did the rivet gun broke and I had to exchange it. Other than that the install is fairly straightforward. I made a mistake with the lower bracket and earned myself a couple of unnecessary holes. Do yourself a favor. Throw away the paper instructions and find a YouTube video. Would buy again.

Mounted on my Tacoma in about 30 minutes,they look great and help lift my hood great I would recommend these to all Tacoma owners.

Easy install if you know what you're doing. Make sure you have a drill stop on your bit or you may end up with a hole in your hood. Great product, no longer have to fight with the hood. Since I have an ARB bumper on my Tacoma it's so much better to lift and close the hood.

These works and look nice but are kinda over priced since the dont bolt on at all you have to drill and measure them to fit. The instructions are very helpful with the installation tho.

These struts work good & look even better . You definitely need to pay attention when lining up to drill the holes because you want everything to be installed correctly and the directions are not great but when in Doubt YouTube it out
