Bugzz @ Soake Kids PVC Umbrella (Butterfly)

We purchased two of these for our kids, one was great and the other one was faulty. The clip broke as seen in the 2nd picture but we put up with this until the strap broke off. Emailed the company and they replied with:Thank you for the images; with all PVC umbrellas if the pleats when closed not folded properly the strap may not reach round and then if the strap is pulled too tightly around the umbrella it will break off. Unlike soft polyester umbrellas they don't have as much stretch in them. This type of damage would not be considered a manufacturing fault so we would not be able to replace or refund it on this occasion.Very sorry this is not the news you wish to hearWe have treated these both the same and looked after then, they have had very little use, I emailed the company again to say this and the reply was:Unfortunately these would not be considered manufacturing faults; on both issues particularly the strap if they were manufacturing faults they would show very soon after receiving the item but after 9 months of use its likely that it is down to the way the item has been used. Very sorry we are unable to help you further on this occasion.We have had them 9 months, however they were not used for the first 3 months as they were presents and the weather was fine. I would still expect them to last longer.So basically they are great umbrellas unless they break, then forget any about customer service as that sucks!Just a follow up that the other umbrella has had little use and has also broken with a hole in the top. Avoid these and get something better from a company which will support the product.

This is a very Good! quality umbrella. I got this a few months back when we were having a lot of heavy rain and wind for my son to use. It is a nice dome shape to keep the rain and the wind out of his face. He has used it in very heavy rain and windy weather and it kept him dry. The umbrella handle is curved making it easy for him to hold with both hands and Because of the shape of the handle and the umbrella he doesn’t have to fight the wind to keep a hold of it or fear being whisked up in to the air like Mary poppins. Inside it is made of plastic which I was really pleased about as all previous ones that have been metal have rusted and left unsightly orange marks where as this one hasn’t. I am very pleased with this umbrella and glad I spent a little extra to get a good quality one which I know will last my little boy long time.

The first time I tested the umbrella before giving it to the child it was intended for, I got a fold of skin on one finger pinched between the shaft and the slider that moves up and down the shaft. This happened several more times when I was investigating how it had happened. It is due to a combination of an overly-strong spring reaction when closing the umbrella and a relatively large gap between the hole in the bottom of the slider and the shaft. In addition to the large gap, the bottom of the slider is poorly finished and the rough surface "grabs" the skin on a finger that is inadvertently placed on the shaft below the slider rather than wholly on the slider and drags the fold of skin into the gap. Completely unsuitable for a young child and in my opinion shouldn't be allowed on sale. I threw it straight in the bin without wasting time on sending it back.

Was expecting a sort of dark blue and red umbrella and actually got one that was turquoise and kind of pinky instead. Would return but my son doesn't seem fussed and loves it!

We actually had this umbrella before but it go caught in a patio door incident and developed a rather large hole that wasn't keeping the rain out any longer. My son loved it so much as able open it himself, see through and also the dinosaur design was a winner

Colours not as photo, turquoise and pink, not red and blue so more for a girl,Very very strong petrol smell so can’t use it as makes toddlers eyes water.

Can't rate these highly enough! A great, good quality kids umbrella. Manageable for kids. No sharp bits. Can see through them. Just great

My son loves this brolly. It's great in windy weather as it provides a good done over him.
