Biodynamic Pasture Management 1st Edition

Unfortunately I did not really enjoy this book. It is full of outdated concepts like fertilizer application (outdated now, due to the work of Elaine Ingham) and it totally neglects the most important tool for Pasture Managers which is Planned Grazing (see the book "Holistic Management: A New Framework for Decision Making). Totally inadequate for anyone serious about their grazing operation.

Buyer beware! Biodynamic ≠ ecological. Look up biodynamic on Wikipedia before ordering, as I should have. Book is comprised primarily of pseudoscience and magic, with some good information scattered here and there. The author determines the efficacy of his 'biodynamic preparations' (1 tsp per compost heap!) by divining and dowsing. If you're one of them 'purple people', buy this book now! If you're a farmer of the scientific persuasion, look elsewhere.
