So far, this lens is amazing for the price.
I have had the use of an older Yongnuo 50mm lens for my Canon, and it did the job. The only thing I found impressive was the price. This 35mm lens is another story. Very sharp, auto focus works very well, works well with low light, and so far, I have been very impressed with it. Well worth the price. And, yes, I would recommend this lens.

More than Surprised
I use this lens to record YouTube videos it can get bad at high ISO but if you have solid like the picture quality is wonderful and can be genuinely compared to higher end lens. I film on a Canon SL2 and the auto while noisy is still responsive I still prefer Manuel focus though.

Solid lens, worth having on a budget
So here’s the deal. It’s an extremely cheap lens, it looks cheap, it feels cheap, but it works great! You will have some pretty hefty vignetting if you don’t have lightroom to use the lens correction profile, but the imagine distortion isn’t bad at all surprisingly. Autofocus is slower than something like the canon 50mm f1.8 but it’s rarely an issue with the things I use a 35mm for. I also had some issues while using this lens with an off brand adapter on my EOS R (voltrox I think), however I’ve since-learned that it was because of the RF-EF adapter, NOT this lens. Moral of the story? Just buy the canon adapter, it’s overpriced but I’d rather pay more for something that always works properly. Anyway, if you’re looking for a 35mm on a budget, this is a great choice. Images come out great... just probably have Adobe because the lens profile is damn need REQUIRED on every image.

Basic but you get what you pay for.
I’m not the biggest fan of this lens the manual focus is kind of choppy and the auto focus isn’t as quick as would like. It is a great lens for the price though but more for a beginner photographer.

Great Lens.
Great product! Works very well with my Canon Elan7 SLR film camera. Would like to buy more lens from YONGNUO.

Do not buy this lens.
I really wanted this lens to work, who wouldn’t. The price (and reviews) seem pretty good.I used this lens in three newborn sessions. Every single one missed focus, by a lot. Non salvageable images, luckily I switch lens mid session, so it wasn’t a total loss (the session). It wasn’t sharp to begin with, but went downhill every session. Her third was her last. It’s unfortunate.

Good image. Cheap construction.
Sharp and neutral, but very cheap construction. I realize that's why it's so cheap, and I'm happy with the image quality for the price, but be aware that it's light plastic and not built for the long haul.

Great for the price.
To my surprise the quality of this lens is worth the price. I was a bit skeptical at first when i bought it but once I started using it my skepticism disappeared. It does lack a bit when photographing landscapes but it works great with Portraits. I use it on my Canon M50 so i so need an adapter but regardless it doesn't take away from the quality.
