Stylish, comfortable shoes
Highly recommend. These shoes are perfect to wear with jeans, capris, and shorts. Surprisingly, it didn't take any time to "break" in these shoes. I wear them all the time. Glad I purchased these shoes.

Breathable, well ventilated and very cute sandal that hides unpainted toenails
I wanted cute closed toe sandals to hide my feet when I am in need of a pedicure but also wanted breathable and ventilated shoes so my feet wouldn’t overheat on a hot summer day. These huarache sandals are perfection! They are cute, comfortable, and well made with high quality leather. They are expensive but worth it.The reviews led me to believe breaking them in was a horrible process. The leather was stiff when I first got them but I wore them for about 10 minutes a day for 4 days (a walk around the block) and the leather softened right up. I never got a blister or raw spot when I started wearing them all day. They became my favorite sandals in less than a week. The reviews also said to size down a half size which I did not do. I ordered my usual size because I didn’t want them to be too short. I have a slightly narrow size 8.5 m foot and I ordered the 8.5. They fit perfectly and I’m very pleased with the length. They seem to be adapting to my foot shape and are getting more comfortable with each wearing. The rose color is beautiful and matches my skin tone. The shoes exceeded my expectations and I’m glad I spent the extra $$ to have comfortable feet.Oct 2023 Update: I bought these shoes in April and I’ve had them all summer. They got more comfortable with each wear and still look good. They are well made and will last a long time. I would give these shoes I bonus star if I could because they earned it.

Nice style
I liked the style although I’m returning because they ran big, didn’t fit - and I wasn’t happy with the quality.

Comfortable after a LONG breaking in period
I bought these on the recommendation of NYT Wirecutter. I'm an 8.5 and I bought an 8.5. They fit perfectly but were stiff. I had read that you are to "wear them them in". Initially I put shoe trees in....that worked some. Then I wore them around the house with socks. Then I put a thick sock on the shoe trees and left in again for a few days. Then I wore them out with nylon liners. Long story short, it took about 20 full wears (over a few hours each time) before I could wear them without socks AND where they did not give me blisters on my toes or back of my foot. Now they are very comfortable and I can wear them most of the day (not all day if humid). So be aware. It's very likely you will have to do the same and not count on being able to run around comfortably in them right away. You may read recommendations that you should size up. I didn't and if I had, they would have been to big today.

Buy a smaller size.
I wear a size 9 Brooks Adrenaline, a size 8 Clark’s dress shoe, and the 7 1/2 Nisolo almond color shoe fits snug and perfectly. They are beautiful and comfortable shoes but as the leather stretches, I may need to pad the heel to keep them on my feet. We’ll see.

Beautifully crafted; Mold to your foot.
I have had hueraches before, back in the 70s. I think they were cheaply imported by Pier One. They weren’t as beautiful as these however. These are tight when first put on but they typically always need breaking in. I ordered up a half size (8.5 instead of 8) cause I knew they’d be tight. I was told by Pier One (back in the day), to soak them in water before wearing them and they’d mold to my feet. I won’t be doing that with these though, they are too pretty and well crafted. I will wear them around the house with some of the socklets used to try shoes on in the stores with. Also, I often use a bar of soap to rub on the inside of leather shoes wherever a lot of contact rubbing is gonna happen. It works well. If you get these shoes, be committed to breaking them in - they are well worth it in the long run. They can easily become your favorite casual shoes since they work well with skirts, dresses, beach wear, sport wear, - so versatile.

uncomfortable
I couldn't break them in because they were too stiff and uncomfortable for me, and maybe sized small. The quality seems pretty good though. If they were broken in they might be good.

Omg throw back
So I was looking for some cute sandals and came across these old school throw backs and I had to have them. I will say back in the day I did not pay no where near this price - I kinda hesitated bcus they are sooo expensive but you only live once. I remember how comfy and cute so I did it and I am glad. Do order a half size up as recommended I normally wear an 8 and got 8.5 perfect fit what can I say nostalgic I just might help make these things a come back lol

Right sandal smaller than left
There is a variance of 5mm between both sandals. Ordinarily, that might not be a much of a problem. However, these huaraches are meant to be fitting. So while the left sandal fits great, the right one feels comparably tight.According to the Nisolo website, wearing them in will stretch the leather to fit properly. I’m not entirely sure whether to follow that advice and to keep the huaraches. I’m a true size 7, and followed the advice to size down half. Trying to put on 6.5 was agony — so much so I ordered size 7.5 next. The left side was too lose while the right side felt alright.Due to the looseness on the left, I decided to exchange for size 7 after all. Now the left side fits perfectly but the right side is one the small side. Pity, because the finishing itself feels sturdy and the design is beautiful. One solution, I suppose would be to keep the size 7 pair for the left foot and reorder a size 7.5 pair for the right foot. Although, I can’t fathom paying double for two pairs only so that I can have two nicely fitting huaraches and a superfluous pair. That’d be such a waste of resources.
