Fun and empowering
We've been using these flash cards for almost a year now. My daughter is now 6 and we're still not quite sure what the issue is but it might be starting to point towards an auditory processing disorder. She's very visual and picks up the picture cards lickety split. I was blown away the first time I flipped it to the non-image side and she knew them no problem!! We practice both sides because the words tend to fade for her, but she easily knows 50+ words by now and can read them in books, on buildings, on TV. We have several sets. She also loves putting sentences together with the cards-- she was EXCITED to do this when she realized she could. And then she gets the idea to start writing them down-- all on her own! That's what I love most about these-- they make learning fun! And it also empowered her to feel like she could at least read SOMETHING instead of always struggling. If you go to their website they have a couple you can download for free and try. Highly recommend, this really does work for the right brained visual learner. Everybody can learn, you just have to unlock their learning style!

Miracle Cards!!!
I have been a Special Ed teacher for k-5 for 15 years. I was introduced to these Snap cards about 12 years ago by another teacher to use while I worked with a kindergarten MIID student who struggled greatly. The pictures and movements were PERFECT! This child learned all of her words without any issues! I was worried though that she was just memorizing the pictures so I tested my theory and turned the cards around where she couldn’t see them-she still got it! I have always recommended the cards since then. This year I have another very low first grade student so I pulled the Snap cards out again and started by introducing 5 words to him. (he knew zero) The smile on his face when he saw how fun these words were, was priceless! He can memorize most of the words after just one introduction!!! (They are that fun) This child has learned the entire kindergarten list; with pictures and turned around with just word and now almost half way through with first grade list! The confidence he has gained is truly impressive. He is always so excited to share how many words he knows. (It’s so many he can’t hold them all in one hand) He even stood in front of his gen Ed class and recited every single one of them without skipping a beat! Some of the kids even said “Man, I don’t even know that word!” These cards are miracle workers! I say this every time I recommend them! I don’t know why they are not in every classroom!!! Well worth the purchase!

For a memory learner
My child has a hard time with his spelling and reading. A teacher told me about these. My son is in 2nd grade. He knew half of pack b. Pack C is going to work better for his level. They are fun. I don’t have to think of a sentence to use it in. I like that the sentences also have a descriptive word to help understand the meaning. I would recommend them and get more levels when needed. Only the cards come in the order.

I like that on the back the word is also printed ...
Each card has a tip on the back on how to use it in a sentence that goes along with the picture to help you when working with your child. These have definitely helped my son remember his sight words due to the pictures. I like that on the back the word is also printed in plain text without the picture so you can practice with your child to make sure they really know the word.

Highly effective
I purchased these because my son (who has ADHD) was way behind on sight words in kindergarten. Once we started using these, he went from only knowing three to thirty sight words in three days. I highly recommend these.

Use snap words for dyslexia/right brain thinkers!
Snap words are being used for a child with reading and spelling difficulties She is a visual spatial learner not an auditory sequential learner so plain text is hard to learn she sees the world in images! These picture words are extremely helpful in teaching spelling
