A great alternative to pine tar. Maybe even better
From every review I've read, people have bought batting glue because it doesn't stain or get everywhere and that is 100 percent true. It's pretty much a glue stick for baseball bats and it gets the job done. I've use pine tar and some brands of tar are really slippery and require adding rosin to make it grip better, but the Mota grip stick doesn't need it at all. Just apply it and you're ready to bat. It doesn't stain and or transfer onto other things. I've actually had a situation where I hit a ball and the bat was sticking to my open hand while running to first. I literally had to shake my hands to get the bat off, but I say this because i don't think it's a bad thing. I like knowing that it will stick to my hands while swinging. And note, this only happened once. The draw back, and this may happen with pine tar too, is that it accumulates a lot when you constantly apply it. It just builds up. To me, it's a minor problem, but I just take some time out of my day and scrape it off every few weeks.

It's definitely sticky and does a good job but I'm disappointed that if any dirt gets on it it almost instantly loses all it's tackiness. I have had to reapply before every game and now there is a serious buildup on my bat of this stuff after just five games of use. Pine tar, while a little messy, seems to hold its tackiness for a little longer.

Hard as A Rock
The product was hard as a rock and was brittle. It came broken in 2 pieces and I would not purchase this again..

Better than pine tar
I use athletic tape on my bats and can't get the tackiness from most of the liquid pine tar products I've tried but this stuff makes the grip sticky and it doesn't wear off. It's like a big hard crayon and once you color your grip it remains tacky. I play in all weather including rain. Liquid pine tar makes your bat slippery when it's wet, not this stuff. This is a great product, I wish I'd found it a long time ago.

Great Product
Provides the stickiness that you need in order to use a wooden bat. It is a lot less messy than pine tar and stays sticky for a long period of time. I owuld have given it 5 stars, but the cardboard tube is not the best application as it become troublesome to tear away as the stick is used.

Manny Mota Grip Stick
Product is excellent. Doesn't stain anything inside the baseball bag, stays tacky only where applied. Doesn't transfer onto uniiform or batting gloves.Shipped really fast and is at a reasonable price.
