Earth Balance Vegan Cheddar Flavor Squares - 6 oz (.Vegan Flavor)

Vegan since 1993 and constantly pining away for cheez-its. I missed those tasty little crackers of my youth. So I was thrilled to see Earth Balance was making a vegan version. They look like cheez-its, they smell kind of like cheez-its, and they taste...well, vaguely like cheez-its. I still love them. I still consume them in great quantities because they're as close as I can get to cheez-its at this time. But PLEASE, Earth Balance, try adding a little more salt and a little more ZING to the flavor! They're close to cheez-its, but not quite there yet. Keep working!

I am not a vegan, but I avoid dairy products like the plague, but that doesnt mean I dont miss them. When I saw these Cheddar Squares I had to have them. They taste good enough, end of story. I will definately get them again.

I have a really hard time finding any kind of "cheese" flavored vegan products that are not coconut based. There really aren't a lot of options where I live, so I was super excited to find these. Even though these crackers cost about twice as much as a non-vegan cheese cracker, it was nice to try. When I ate the regular kind, it wasn't uncommon for me to eat a box in less than two days, and I think I ate the Earth Balance Cheddar Squares faster than that. I can't comment on how much they taste like real cheese, since I have been lactose intolerant longer than I've been vegan. I would guess it's about the same. I hope to get these in bulk if the cost is decent.

I have never felt compelled to write a review on amazon before but these were so horrendous that I want to save someone else from making the same mistake and buying this overpriced, sad excuse for food. When I first tasted them I was like "hmmm this is okay" because they kind of tasted like a more cardboard-y version of cheese nips, but a few seconds later I would regret ever letting this product come in contact with my precious vegan tastebuds. I was hit with an overwhelming taste of what I imagine the bottom of a dirty gym shoe would taste like, and the worst part—the aftertaste was impossible to get rid of, even after furiously brushing my teeth twice in hopes to rid myself from the atrocity. I'm disappointed in the company because they also included palm oil, which is not vegan, so that's false advertising on their end. All in all, these cheddar squares were the worst thing to happen to me today and I hope nobody else has to go through what I've just endured.

Tastes so much like the real cheese-its! My boyfriend didn’t even notice....he was eating them and asked why I have them (I’m lactose intolerant). So nice to be able to eat a snack that suffices my cheese cravings.

I bought these crackers for my 14-month-old grandson who became ill from milk and soy products. These are the closest thing to Cheezits that I could find, and he really loves them. The smell of these are quite strong, but he doesn't care!

My son has a pretty sever dairy and egg allergy. I am always looking for some good snacks for him that are portable and don't make him feel left out. These do the trick. He has had NO reaction to them whatsoever. Which means they are COMPLETELY compliant for a dairy/egg allergy. I also tasted these and they taste very good. Surprisingly good and surprisingly cheesy! It's a great, healthy snack for anyone on a vegan diet!

I haven't been able to eat any dairy or soy products for some time now so you can only imagine how excited I was when I saw these "cheddar" squares! I had my doubts but they're just like how I remember the flavor of Cheez-Its! I really enjoy this snack and I highly recommend. The texture is pretty accurate too, though it's definitely been a while since I had the real deal.
