I needed a replacement muffler for our 2001 Park Avenue. I didn`t want to spend more than the car was worth for a muffler. Haha! I wanted a quiet muffler and this was it! It was a direct fit. It took about 10 minutes to install with the sawzall and wire feed welder.

The product is probably fine. The rating reflects Amazon's failure to provide useful specs like I/O configuration, pipe diameter, etc. Since it was wrong Amazon promptly arranged for a return. :) Have since learned that Walker has a good muffler selection app.

My boyfriend owns a car lot. He had a 2004 Chevy cavalier that muffler rusted off of. For $26 and $80 to the muffler shop, it is good as new and passed inspection. He’d buy again for the price.

For my car it had to be modified a little bit, Lucky for me I have a friend that knows how to Weld so for me it was no problem. So in other words it wasn't an exact fit for my 2002 Chevy cavalier.

I have a Chevy Cavalier 2001 and the whole muffler assembly was rusted out. So I ordered a new  Walker 36360 Exhaust Muffler Strap , Walker 18150 Tru-Fit Universal Muffler , and  35335 Exhaust Clamp  for ~$50. The strap was bigger than the replacement muffler but it still fit together snug, so I'm happy. Others have complained that the strap was too big for muffler. Otherwise all the products worked together as expected. The previous muffler left some rusted metal on the tail pipe so I had to grind a slit on metal ring and peel it off. Then the new muffler, strap, and clamp fit like a charm. It all has been installed for about 2 weeks and no issues.The tail pipe on this replacement isn't as long as the OEM, I haven't had an issue with that yet, but just something of note.

well it came well boxed no dents ,they just need check some of the seals on the muffler found two that were not bent in 100% apart from that fits my 2001 cavalier .

It does seem to breath a bit better than stock. Only gripe is that the tab for attaching to a support on the rear of the muffler rusts right away, and isn't galvanized like the muffler body.

The muffler has a bracket right next to the exhaust end of the item, had this shown up in any photos there's no way I would have purchased it. Maybe my mechanic can remove and reset it somewhere else ,or just remove it and use something else, as it is, it is ugly! there is a bracket on the other end as well but that doesn't matter.

Bought this for my 2002 Cavalier. Fits great. Had to cut the strap (Walker 36360 ) a little shorter and drill a new hole. Not a big problem.Edit: 3 years later. It rusted out at the entry pipe & broke off. I live in Southern Ontario .
