Libbey Impressions Colors Tumbler Glasses, Set of 4

I'm not gonna lie, I accidentally ordered these.I guess instead of placing them on a wish list I must had clicked the 1-click buy now button on my phone instead. By the time I realized I had BOUGHT them they were already being shipped so... yeah.As upset as I was about that when they got here I figured maybe this wouldn't be so bad. They are affordable and they are pretty and yes I did need new glasses since my ex stole everything in my kitchen.These cups are niiiiiice. I'm a sucker for anything that looks like melted Jolly Ranchers. I don't know how else to explain it but the colors at the bottom of the cups do eliminate the which-one-is-mine problem. I've read that the color at the bottom is actually painted on and not stained on. Because of this I try to avoid putting these in the dishwasher and hand wash them only. Hopefully that helps keep the color on longer.Will update if I notice any wear or peeling by using this method.

These glasses are just the BEST for grip. I had the opportunity to use these at a friends home, and just loved the "fit" in my hand. They had the clear versions of these glasses. I decided on the colored ones thinking "how fun- and I could always tell which one was mine". Now, two months later, the color is starting to come off, just ever so slightly all around the bottoms. I didn't realize that it was a coating of color. It appears to be IN the glass. So I am disappointed about that. In a few more months, I expect it will look like nail polish after being on for a month. :( I still love the grip in your hand- the little indents on the sides.

So far, I'm happy with these glasses. While I did buy them for the colors, I also bought them for the dimples which make it even easier to hold. I have not yet experienced any color loss, but if it happens, it happens. For me at least, the glasses are solid and large and the color is just a bonus. They came packaged safely. I did note that one of the glasses, the green one I believe, was slightly shorter than the others. I do mean slightly too, so I just chalk this up to uniqueness. Should the colors flake off, I will look into ways of adding my own color in the future.

In a recent move halfway across the country, I somehow misplaced my favorite colorful Libbey drinking glasses. I had purchased them previously from Marshall's or some place similiar. Anywhooooo I missed those glasses and was searching in various stores and online to no avail. So I was very happy to find them on Amazon. These are slightly different with the addition of dimples at the lower bottom portion -- which is an improvement that makes handling the glasses easier. As for those who complained the colors peeled off the bottom of the glasses, I never experienced this over the four years I had them and they were run through the dishwasher continously. So I am happy to have found these again and definitely recommend them to others.

Like these glasses. The color is in the glass, not painted on, so I don't know why other reviewers say that the color comes off after putting them in the dishwasher. They are a bit on the heavy side, but I reckon we'll get used to that. Perhaps I'll knock fewer over with the weight (smile). I purchased two sets. They've been through the dishwasher many times already. I have no regrets whatsoever.REVISED 10.15.13In my original review above, my comment "The color is in the glass, not painted on..." is completely incorrect!About a week and a half ago while emptying the dishwasher I noticed the color coming off of my favorite of the four glasses. I inspected the color on the glasses rather thoroughly prior to posting my initial review and would have swore (pretty much did) that the color was in the glass, not painted on. (fooled me) I was totally and completely incorrect in that regard and I sincerely apologize to those who may have purchased based on that comment.I still like the glasses but because the color was 99% of the reason for wanting them (to stop the is this your glass or mine questions around the house) and the fact that if I continue to put them in the dishwasher that the color will soon be completely gone, I've dropped the rating down two whole stars.I'm bummed. If anyone finds real color glass (as in not painted on)please let us know!

We bought 2 sets and chose our own colors. Now I can drink water and leave it out for more without mixing up glasses or washing so many glasses! Only only rated a 4 overall as there is a dimple on the bottom. If you turn it upside down in the dishwasher, it will puddle water in the dimple and will make it cloudy unless you wipe it dry manually

I took a chance on these glasses and I have to say I'm really happy. I love the different colors especially if you have company so you can give everyone a different color and they don't get mixed up. The colors are really pretty and I love the dimples which make the glass really easy to hold and very tactile. They are also the perfect thickness. Very pleased I took a chance on these - buy 2 packs, you'll use them!

I bought them in May 2018 and after 4 months, the color is fading. They looked great at first. I do put them in the dish washer. I don't remember reading that they should not be put in the dish washer. Maybe if I had hand washed them, the color wouldn't fade. I don't know but I don't plan on ordering more to find out.

Great glasses

Había comprado otros vasos parecidos pero de otra marca. Muy delgados y se rompieron con mucha facilidad.Los de Libbey tienen excelente calidad, son más gruesos y muy bonitos! Cumplieron las expectativas!

Los vasos son muy bonitos y de buen material.Solamente que el morado viene un poco despintado, pero creo que en general los que son pitados así son.

La parte de color es pintada, no es cristal de color por lo que a los pocos usos comienza a despintarse sobretodo en la base.Al mes pareciera que los vasos llevan años usándose.
