At 10 ft long and 4 inches thick this board is great for smaller people. At 14 stone and 5'11 I am too big for it. It dips into the water in the middle and feels very unstable on the sea in any kind of waves. I went for the slightly more expensive 10'6" - 6' thick board which is perfect for me.However the smaller board is perfect for my wife and kids with the added bonus that it is smaller and lighter to carry out of the water.Generally these boards seem to be very well made - strong and light - with a good padded foot area, a useful netted bungee area at the front and good strong eyelets at the front and halfway down (for a removable kayak seat) which are very useful for tying down to the car roof! The colour scheme/graphics are basic but I would rather have a solid board than flashy graphics.They are fairly easy and quick to pump up (about 10 mins with the supplied pump) but getting them up the last few PSI to 15psi is hard work! (The bigger board has a slighly different pump that seems to be a bit easier) The air inlet valve looks to be good quality and sturdy but make sure it is in the right position before you start pumping otherwise all your precious hard work will whoosh out in about 5 seconds when you undo the pump. The paddle is basic but adequate. The leash is cheap but adequate and easily replaced with a coiled alternative.The only let downs were the quality of the pump and the backpack bag. One of the pump handles snapped off on first use with the force needed to get the board up to 15psi (not good) and one of the straps on the backpack came off at the bottom after a couple of carries. But overall for the price I'm happy that I got a good quality board at the cost of some cheaper accessories. Company seems very responsive as well.Update to the above 10/09/19: Sent a request for a new pump and backpack to HIKS through Amazon and had an immediate reply and replacements in the post the next day. Replaced under warranty apparently so very happy with the service.

Was looking for an entry-level inflatable SUP board to start to learn.Fitted my budget perfectly, and the fact that it all fits into a comfy backpack was one of the main selling points for me.Everything arrived within less than 48hrs of ordering and perfectly packaged.Straightforward and clear instructions (on every language possible!) and on first attempt at inflating in my hallway it took under 5 mins to inflate.Used it the following day at my local beach. Pretty solid, and was surprised by how solid it becomes considering it’s made of inflatable material!One thing that stood out for me was the aftercare service from Simon at HIKS as he was on hand to answer the phone and answer questions I had. Very impressed with that, and can’t recall a single company with service like this.Will be recommending to all my friends if I can convince them to join me in our chilly UK waters!!

The media could not be loaded.  This was my first SUP so I had a lot of questions about which board would be best for me for my size, fitness level, where I would be paddling and ability to travel with it. The seller replied to my questions via telephone within 10 minutes of receiving my e-mail. They spent a significant amount of time providing advice and information. I took all of that on and bought this board. It arrived on time and in excellent condition. I have left it inflated for 4 days at 15psi and it has not let out any air at all I have been out twice in the sea. I live in Portsmouth and we get some pretty strong currents and crosswinds rather than large waves. The board was very firm and stable even with passengers on the back. I am a complete beginner so cannot really comment on maneuverability but I was able to turn around boats and bouys despite the current and the wind and an adult passenger on the back. The board is excellent quality for the price which comes at the expense of the accessories. The pump and paddle work well but you can tell that all of the money has gone on the board, which the seller told me themselves on the phone, but frankly were still better quality than I was expecting and have seen elsewhere. I cannot rate this board enough! It is the best money I have ever spent. At only 12kg I will be taking it with me to Indonesia in a few months and we are considering buying a second one.

Really well made board. Perfect size. Great colour.The pump only has one single pump function so it’s gets tough towards the end. The bag is the best I’ve seen so really easy to get board out and put back in. I will probably buy another ankle strap for it as the one supplied is material not a plastic cord.Haven’t had a chance to use it on the water yet and we’re currently on lockdown.My only grumble is that it already had a few scrapes and glue marks on straight out the packaging.

Beginner SUPer here...went on a lesson and knew I'd absolutely love it but promised my other half I wouldn't buy a paddleboard until I'd tried it. Cue 1 hour later when I was on amazon ordering one! Read a lot of reviews and was looking for something that didn't break the bank as a beginner as good quality paddleboards are pretty expensive. HIKS were really helpful in terms of customer service as I initially thought the gauge was broken as couldn't see what the SUP was inflating to, but I just hadn't fully screwed the gauge on. Easy enough to inflate once you've done it once or twice and I can get it up in around 7 minutes or so now. It's so sturdy and stable, you'd never guess it was inflatable!Haven't been on the sea yet but am paddling regularly on the canal and several lakes and thoroughly enjoying. It's super relaxing, the SUP handles well, no issues with the paddle. Folding it back down to get it into the back is a bit of an art but I feel I'm getting the hang of it now! All in all, I'm really impressed and have convinced several friends to try SUP and they all want to get their own boards now. I'd definitely recommend HIKS paddleboards!
