Q: Can these be frozen in the package they come in?

They came in one of those hard plastic containers you see in any grocery store bakery section. The container itself was wrapped in plastic-cellophane (whatever you call it), also. I froze the package with no ill effects. Good cookies!

Q: how long will these stay fresh if unopened?

I honestly do not know. When we got the order they were opened and were fresh. We ate them within several days. My family loves these cookie.
