RUGCEL Electric 12V 2000lb/907kg Single Line Waterproof Winch

There are parts that are not shown in the documentation. It says that the product is waterproof, but there are open power terminals. One review stated all hardware to mount is included. You are so limited with what is provided. Diagrams do not show a variety of mounts, yet this is offered for boats, ATV, jeeps, etc. There is no phone number for support ONLY EMAIL. This is a potentially dangerous product and there should be much more detail in making sure the customer buys all the parts that are necessary as well as fully understands how to install. Saying it is waterproof and it is not, just made me drop them to 2 stars. I will update this review once I get it installed. So far, not impressed.

Had carpel tunnel & elbow surgery done and was afraid I would not be able to sit myself up in the bed using the right arm so mounted the winch on the wall using 1/4" all thread at an appropriate location to assist in getting me out of bed without putting a strain on the repaired arm. 2000# winch WILL tilt up a 170# person easily!!!!! Love it when a plan comes together.

Wench is good but the nylon rope putted right off the wench and the hook will not fit on the end of the rope. I contacted seller send pictures and asked for the nylon rope to be replaced. I would of just returned it but I already installed the wench. I had to spend another $100.00 on a new nylon rope. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!!!!!

So I bought this for my 2014 wrangler Sahara with a Smittybilt stinger bumper. This winch kit is pretty awesome for $400. I had purchased the Badlands winch before from Harbor Freight for about the same price. This came with wireless remotes (2) and a protective cover. I don’t have to buy anything else for this. Motor is fast and strong. So far I feel like this is a very high-quality product and you are not paying for a namebrand like a lot of the other sets. It also has a synthetic rope which is awesome! The only complaint I have is that I had to alter the end of the line so the hook would fit correctly but it was really easy and not a big problem.

I will update this review later when I have it installed and use it but I wanted to go ahead and post pictures of what you receive in the box. Do you know that the power cable coming off of the remote is 40 in to the winch and gives you about 62in to the battery. All of the controls and solenoids are inside the remote handle.

Used it once and something broke on the spool. Didn't even come close to the 2000 pound limit but it broke. Lesson learned don't buy a cheap wench.

So only time will tell if this was a good purchase. It seems ok and it works in my driveway. I just hope it performs if I get stuck on the trail. It's your typical chinese winch. There are a bunch of these on the market with different names but they all seem identical. I cant seem to find any info on The company and no way to contact them. It was less than half the price of the name brand winches so I took a gamble.

UPDATE: contacted seller about the hook. They asked me to send them a picture, then they sent me a better pin style aluminum shackle for the rope.I bought the 13500lb winch with a synthetic rope. All they did was spool a synthetic rope onto the wire rope winch which was fine. But all the instructions were for the wire rope winch. The thing that irritates me is that the hook that came with the winch is for the wire rope so the part where you pin the rope isn't wide enough for the synthetic rope hook up. So I had to order a different hook. The wireless remotes seem to work fine but the directions are labeled backwards on the wired pendant remote. There isn't an option to contact seller so that's why I'm putting thing in the review.

As other reviewers have mentioned it's wired backwards so you have to reverse the polarity to get it to run in the direction that the controller buttons indicate- no big deal once you know what to do to fix it. The cable is advertised as being 50 feet but it's closer to 30'. The motor gets very hot in use; after one full 30' (not 50') pull at moderate load it was too hot to touch. I didn't try it but I' suspect a second similar pull without an extensive cool down period would burn it out. I'm sending it back.

I like the fact that it is a steal cable so I can extract through anything
