How it feels paddling
Like that the paddle is light when paddling. Did not know it would take over a month to get it.

awesome paddle
I have the all carbon version too. Love this because it has some flex with the wood. Totally recommend. especially for the price. Half of the more well known paddles but can hold its own.

Bought Paddle - Won Race
This is great value - works well - a week after I bought this paddle, my novice crew won our division race including ocean conditions at Marina Del Rey races.

It's cheap and it might work but it's definitely not for ocean competitions
First of all, I ordered this paddle because it's pretty cheap compared to other paddles out there that are also hybrids. The fact that it had a bend and was under $200 sold me.This review isn't going into the details of how well it actually handles or acts in the water. I simply received it and immediately knew that I needed to return it as it was not suitable for my own use out on the water. My team and I paddle through a bay and often go out for a couple of miles into the ocean with water conditions varying from calm to very abrupt. It is light which is awesome but it also feels pretty hollow. The paddle I received had a visible crack running on the handle where it meets the shaft. There, the wood was also starting to split and had splinters going in every direction. Granted, if you have gloves, you might still be able to use it but I felt that it would be a painful and potentially failed experience if I were to take them out to compete.

Great paddle!
I bought the medium, 51”, and it is great! I paddle in an OC-6 team, needed a strong paddle and that’s what I got, very pleased.

The length of the paddle is most important and then your personal preference of how big the blade.
Outrigger canoe racing in an OC6 and OC2 competition.

good bite. My mistake I ordered the 9 3/4 ...
Lightweight, looks to be well made. No blemishes. Very surprised at it's clean entry, good bite. My mistake I ordered the 9 3/4 blade to be used on a oc1. Should have gotten a 9 1/4 blade. I'm satisfied. Update.. Paddle handle separated from blade 3miles offshore. They used some kind of silicone glue out of a tube to attach handle to blade. Cleaned it , put it back together using a good epoxy glue and back in the water.
