Heroes: The Complete Series

Heroes is one of my favorite tv shows. Having the complete series including bonus features that includes the unaired pilot with commentary, deleted scenes, and more gives me greater insight into the story and the decisions behind the directions the show ended up taking. The packaging is well done keeping the discs secure while remaining artfully put together in comic book style. The set I bought was new so aside from some minor cosmetic damage to edges and corners of the cardboard box sleeve from the plastic wrap there are no other visiblually detectable issues. Definitely recommend to the Heroes fans out there!

I gave this product 4 stars because of the brittle casing that holds the individual discs. I received the product the with 4 of the 8 cases cracked with discs loose inside their packaging. I would have rated it 3 of 5 stars if the discs weren't in the cardboard packaging you see on the product page. I did purchase this product on a sale price so I feel it is still a good value. I have the first 4 seasons on DVD also and have not had time to compare the film/audio quality yet but may update my review at a later date. I you like the series, this is a good value to add to your collection. The packaging is just not up to par to give it 5 stars.

One of my all time favorite shows ever at an unbeatable price.. only problem is our looks like someone dropped it and completely dented in one of the corners. All the discs are in perfect shape tho, so it's not too big a deal.. just looks crappy.

I love love love this series. That said I couldn't in good conscience give it 5 stars because there were times when I honestly had to wonder if the writers were on crack. There are several instances where characters disappear off the screen and it is like the writing team (unlike the viewers) completely forgot they existed! SPOILER ALERT!!!! Example: in season 2 Peter meets and apparently falls in love with Caitlyn (not sure about spelling) but once she is left in that horrible alternate future they accidently land in, he completely forgets about her! No mention of any plan to try to rescue here from what is apparently a very terrible future for mankind! Also, little Molly! One season has two of the main characters feeling fatherly affection and love for her- enough that her well being affects all their major actions- but keep watching and hell if anyone remembers that the orphaned little girl exists.That being said, I honestly love this series. Season one is probably the strongest in my opinion- probably because it is the first exposure to the characters and their individual stories and keeps building and building. I love that you get to see the reactions of all these different people to their new and baffling powers. I have to say it's the darker characters who hooked me in- Nicky and her crazy alter ego, and Bennett. We don't see too much of my favorite character in first season but I think he got a strong start once he was finally onscreen- as you can probably guess, it's Sylar. Season two felt like the writers were half-asleep and things sorta meander to a point where I was almost annoyed as I made myself watch each episode (cause I hate not knowing what happens!) but they semi-roused themselves enough to gets things rolling again. I think the story line gets siller and siller but the characters I connected to most also got more development so I was happy enough to see what they would do next in response to nearly unbelievable developments.The last two episodes had me stuck in front of my screen- I thought they built to an interesting finale... of course the story isn't really finished so I don't know if we can really call it a finale. This show needs a 6th season. Or a movie to let us know what happens immediately after Claire's bullheaded disregard of Bennett's advice. How does the world react over the course of a few months, a year? And what the heck is Sylar's fate!!!So yeah, if you like powers and unbelievable storylines (but some awesome characters) you should like this show. The quality of writing drifts up and down (sometimes plummets) but overall it is interesting enough to keep you entertained the whole way through and they do manage to pull off some shocking moments.

I thought it was a very good series and I would have given it 5 stars, but the formatting was a bit annoying. I bought the Blu-ray set and if you have to stop it somewhere and start again it takes you back to the very beginning.

Still watching but so far I LOVE IT! If you've watched the series on T.V. you may remember it goes back and forth through scenes you've already seen and sometimes you may think a scene is missing or was skipped but keep watching the rest of the DVD's and those scenes will show up. I highly recommend this purchase.

So I got this for my husband for Christmas.I thought I was getting it new. The box came damaged and so did 3 of the blu ray cases. We kept it because that is not important to us and the blu-ray disks themselves were perfect condition. But I got to give a bad review because that is not what others would be expecting or wanting to pay for.

I remember being excited to find out what happens in the show week to week. I feel like it ended to soon. A must have for your collection.

Im so glad i found this! I love heroes and have watched it maybe 3 times in the past. Myself and my partner recently moved to a new house and we have to wait almost a month to have our internet fit, so we have been looking through our old dvds for things to watch, we found our old heroes set which had most of the discs missing so quickly came on amazon and found these. Really well presented too, huge box full of discs! So excited to watch them tonight, seriously dont understand how they got cancelled :(

A great story, an understatement to say with "a fews twists in the big picture story line". I run out on many ocasions of hairy string to follow the plots and twists in the story. It gets to a point that you do not know who to trust anymore. This is a must for SiFi fans. But with every new production coming out of the states today this one too, has its dark side.I think I can say without exception every episode to the massive story ends on a (cliffhanger). OK so one has to wait for the next thrilling enstallment!!!!.....Next week. Of course not if you own the set box with all the episodes at your fingertips. And so as with Ice Road Truckers series one has to hammer the DVD player with fast forwards to skip on average 3 minuets of repeat of what happened on last weeks episode.If I may give a small tip here; Allocate yourself a set time for viewing either the entire disc presently being view or at least two of the episodes. Every episode ends with a nail biting cliffhanger finnish with the infamous words"to be continued"........... Stunts and CG's are up to par and beyond. Each to their own every body has their hero! "Hiro Yakamura" was mine. I hope this has been help to those who could not quite make up their minds as to weather or not to buy it. Purchase the Blue ray version as DTS sound is brilliant. Without giving away the ending, A lot of loose ends are cleaned up... but the story is left open!!!!!!! A bit like the film 2001 really, the directer wnats you to finnish it yourself in your head with the infamous saying " What If "..........................

Heroes is a great series and I've found hard to watch or stream in the UK so wanted a boxset to watch on demand. The set is good as it contains all four seasons, perhaps an updated version with the Heroes Reborn series included would be good. Only complaint is that I wish all the covers were the same design, otherwise it's good and contains unseen content.

I watched this when it aired in the UK, but in standard definition, so I decided to buy the Blu-ray edition and it does really add to it a lot. Each disc holds on average between 6 - 8 episodes (around 4 hours), which can be played back to back, or individually. Special features (including: deleted scenes, commentary, making of etc) can be found on each disc, and some of the discs are D-Box enabled (although I don't own a D-Box, so can't comment further).The series as a whole is fantastic, it lost its way a bit towards the end, but is still very enjoyable to watch - a great shame that the fifth series never aired.The only annoying feature is that, when playing episodes back to back, the recap and credits are on every episode, but that can't be helped.If you watched Heroes when it first aired then definitely buy this, or if you're into super natural thrillers, crime dramas or just like a bit of suspense I'm sure you'd enjoy it!

I was a big fan of Heroes through its 4 seasons, and being a big fan of super hero shows, i really wanted to go back to this. It was it own thing, with creative characters and a fantastic 1st season arc, but things started to slow down a bit after that. It didn't stop me enjoying the show though. I really wish they'd have made at least 1 more season, after the massive cliffhanger from season 4, and Heroes reborn didn't scratch that itch at all.Being able to binge the show in one greatly priced package is a blast and id recommend it to anyone who wants to see something a little different in their super hero shows.
