Why Brass Cylinder?! Because Brass is good when it comes to bearings, Valves and whatever goes under high pressure. It is so durable under pressure. Metals such as brass are often chosen for bearings, bushings, and other sliding applications because of their resistance to galling. Also, Brass is stiffer than Aluminum. Maybe Aluminum is good to make Grinder but not for Pollen press. This Pollen Press is designed by Engineers to handle very high pressure and can press the herb and shape it as a small round solid disc in size of 3/4". It has two Dowels to distribute even pressure. You must try it to see the difference. Manufactured by TitanOwl

This is a nice little press
This is a nice little press, but be careful to clean it with, say, a little olive oil every other time you use it it-- if you let residue build up, it can get hard to crank. In that case, heat it up rather than forcing it. I stripped one by frcing it, and my buddy stripped my next one... So now we're on number three, but still happy. Works great with the 'Harvest More Trim Bin' turning dust into very nice hash.

Works well, with minor injuries
I really enjoy that I can press bubble hash into pucks that allow me to pinch a piece and smoke it by itself. Downside is that this thing cuts me nearly every time I use it. This happens while holding the cylinder and cranking the t bar. The edges need smoothing out, I guess. Other than that, it makes me happy. I've made about five 1gm pucks so far, and find that it does work better if I keep it clean inside and oil the threads before each use, as others have said.

Soooo disappointed!!! Looks like my press had been used.
Item wasn't sealed in the box plus it looked as if it was used. The little bag was dirty with a white chalky substance and lint. Soooo disappointed!!!

This worked great to compress dry sift in small compact disks
I ordered this along with the harvest trim bin . This worked great to compress dry sift in small compact disks.I put in 1 gram at a time (you can put in larger amounts for larger disks) I also cut out small squares of wax paper to prevent the disks from sticking. You do not need to crank it down hard to compress the disk, i tighten it down a little at a time. A little trial and error and you get the firmness you want. After about 6 times take it apart and clean it with rubbing alcohol or try the olive oil someone else suggested. Product worked great.

It's ok.
Overall, a nifty little gadget to have on hand. Unfortunately, it's super hard to clean and unless you know how to work one it's a bit complicated to figure out exactly what to do.

makes perfect round puck
works perfectly I always set my oven to the lowest temp and let this mold warm up , tighten the T handle just snug , not as tight to strip the threads in the top . makes perfect round puck

Great Small Press
Great for pressing kief into hash. It does take practice though. Stick with 2-3g at a time. It can handle 5-7g (my max produced at one time is 7g). The result is a cylindrical pressing that is very tight. 5g comes out as 3/4"x3/4" approx. My complaint is that it needs to be cleaned consistently or it will bind and lock up. That said, keep it clean (as you should) and you'll have very few problems.

Ideas good but I wouldn't buy it
With no instructions, I tightened it too tight. Trying to take apart, I ruined the outside as it was too tight to get off. Not impressed

Brass is not a gimmik.
The brass makes a huge difference. Crushes the competition!

Don't buy
This is cheap enough ,shipping was expensive tho . The brass threads was a terrible move on the companies part . They release metal/brass flakes into your product and or food . 100% Wouldn't recommend this to anyone .

Five Stars
Only used to make tinctures and it worked amazing with both alchahol and glycerin based tinctures.
