Five star with a caveat
Install is easy, you will need to adjust laser site - read the manual, there is a common glitch addressed in the instructions. If you can’t or wont read the directions, thats on you. Once sited in for your choice of distance. I usually match my laser to the iron sights at 20 yards. Good place to start. I know the description says it’s factory sighted for 50 feet. Ive got 3 of these not one has ever been sighted for me at 50 feet from the factory - you may get lucky. Is that a big deal, not at all. With this particular site, be aware that it adds considerable girth to you grip. You are probably going to have to added an extended mag release. I have a big glock hand xl to xxl glove size. I stilled found that on my gen 3 Glock 19 I had to add an extended release. Without it i had to shift my shooting grip. For reliable mag ejection you need it.Works with all my regular holsters.Would be nice if the grip part had a little texture.Gen 4 and 5 folks your guns have nice big mag release buttons, gen 3 and earlier- bewareNow good parts, very intuitive to use, pretty tough this unit has been tested from wasit high drop to hardwood floor. Still works great and zero was not changed. I like the laser being mounted high and close to the axis of the barrel, less parallax than lasers mounted under the barrel. The green is nice and bright in all but the most bright sun. Typically changing the batteries does effect the zero. But always check.Great laser for all but the most extreme conditions. If you want extreme- go Surefire but bring your big check book.

No special holster required
Back in early 2019 i got one of these. Used. It worked nicely for a long while. Recently-ish, the activation switch began acting up. My armorer suggested I contact CT support. They were very helpful and we concluded with CT offering me a 50% off Retail replacement. Nice! The replacement works like new. OK... it is new.I hate to overuse the word Awesome, but... there are so many great things about this laser. Green shows up way better than red. Squeezing the grip activates it. It fits with all my L2 and L3 holsters. And, as a bonus, it works with my suppressor! Sure, I did the geometry before I got the suppressor and was very happy when I saw that the CT would not be occluded. I use Trijicon sights, not RedDot. The sights are occluded.CT seamlessly integrates with my existing setups. Exemplary customer support - more responsive than I was, and they offered an ideal solution to my issue. If you're in the market for a laser sight, one of these grip lasers is the only way to go.

Glock 19 - Gen 5
Received this yesterday (5/7/20). Product came with everything needed in the box. The Glock 19 Gen 5 installation requires two shims which are included, a small square size with adhesive for the top inside the grips and then a plastic shim that goes on the bottom of the grips. The installation with the Gen 5 was a bit tricky as the bottom shim kept coming lose while attaching the grip to the gun, had to re-adjust but at least the shim I received would not snap or stay in place. Then the holes would not line up correctly to feed the pin through. From a visual, they appeared to be lined up because I was able to see all the way through from both sides but then pin wouldn't go all the way through so had to keep removing the pin and reinserting it and finally got it lined up and the pin went in all the way. Beyond that, it works great and it doesn't add too much to the handle. If anything, it makes you grip the weapon better having this installed. Activated once your hand goes up against it and then deactivates once you remove your hand from it. On/off switch also works good in case you want to shut it off completely. Battery replacements will require you to remove the entire setup and then re-install but I don't see that being a problem since the batteries have a descent life span (takes 4 of them which are included). Too new to advise of any malfunctions but as of now, light is bright and works pretty well. Was able to use in my existing holster as well, grips did not affect the retention or fit to the holster. I will update my review if anything changes.

TOO EXPENSIVE FOR FAILURE
must be unlucky and got a lemon or something. worked before and after install. switched button to off. pulled out of glock case next day. light was very dim and a bit out of sight. keep cutting in and out. so, took it off for battery swap that didn't help...100% none functional. doesn't activate at all.was going to exchange. but, decided I didn't want to have replacement take a crap outside 30 day return window or warranty.think I'll just have to look for other options.not willing to risk my life on this product

The best choice for a home self defense gun.
I have this on a Gen 4, Glock 19. On installation you do need to add a small spacer for the Gen 4. Very simple to add and not noticed after installation on the Glock. Installation only calls for the removal and replacement of one pin. They provide the slightly longer pin for the laser. While the laser does not add much to the profile of the gun. I would not choose this for CCW.As soon as you grip the gun the laser will turn on. There is a small switch you can move to turn off the system when you put it into a gun bag. I have very big hands and my trigger finger does not block the laser when off the trigger. The laser was quite easy to adjust to center the bullet at a 20 yard target. After about 50 shots the laser position has not moved at all.The laser is not noticable until you place it on a target. Then the light will bounce around enough to allow you to see objects in a blacked out room. The green laser is strong enough to be seen very clearly in the daylight at any self-defense range. I think this is the perfect laser to have for home self defense. No need to turn on a light since once you grip the gun the laser provides enough lumination when it bounces off an object. You can keep both eyes open and the bullet will hit where the laser is pointed.I would not spent my money on a red laser since it will not provide the full day and night functionality of the green laser.
