Does what it's supposed to...Some criticism though.No hardware was included to screw it to the wall, or even the wall base to the arm.. So... Good luck with that I guess.The phone part that holds your phone seems to be glued or something because I had to use quite a bit of force to get it to open, heard a couple pops while trying to slide it to a bigger size for my phone... Recommend taking that part off from the arm before attempting to open that beast.It's nothing special or overly HQ but for my use it'll be fine.

Bought this a few weeks ago and haven't been able to use it very well. At the end of the mount you have a ball swivel that should lock... but it isn't very strong. I have a small Sony point and shoot that I bought GoPro mounts and a 1/4 camera mount to use. Waste of money. After tightening everything down as hard as I could without breaking plastics... it still sags at the swivel joint. So not a very useful option. Very disappointed.

This is a great design. Seriously, if you’ve found this —it’s exactly what you were looking for. Buy it.I had come across it before, but balked on the purchase since I didn’t recognize the brand and assumed it would be low quality. But the more I looked for similar products, the more discouraged I became. There are no other products on Amazon with this design, none that I could find in my extensive searching anyway. So I settled on this Acetaken product and I was not disappointed at all. It’s really great.As an engineer, it’s clear to me that this thing was designed by a clever industrial designer with sound structural principles and a user-aware philosophy. They designed it to solve a problem and delight the user with simple, robust functionality.I really can’t stress this enough: buy, buy, buy!

The arm itself is great for the price. It is sturdy and holds the upper limit of its max weight with no problems. There is a wide range of motion and each joint knob securely tightens and holds that tightness during use so nothing slips or moves.The problem I have is that "holder" insert's plastic squeeze tabs are made with a much too rigid plastic. As you can see from the image on the blue mat, the two tabs (which are meant to be squeezed to remove the part) have completely snapped. This was the FIRST time I squeezed them to remove the insert. I was going to swap in my GoPro since it is the exact same part. Now the part slides in but it has nothing to securely hold it in place.Unfortunately, this happened 3 days after my return window closed so I think I am going to use my 3D Pen to "plastic solder" using TPU plastic and see if that works. Otherwise, this arm is completely useless until I can find a replacement insert.

Awkward to reposition. Works better if you remove the bottom two springs.

I use this mount for my web cam to use for my standing desk. The standing desk wobbles a bit when I type on my keyboard and I needed something to keep the camera steady and mobile when the desk raises and lowers. Works perfectly. My only gripe is I wish it was longer but works well for what it is.

First things first. When setting this up you need to do it the exact same way as instructed. If you don’t it won’t work. Mine didn’t come with instructions and had to rely on the vid on here. With that being said it worked really well for two months but now it’s broken. At the end of the product there’s a little ball like joint that allows you to moves the angle in which the phone holds itself/faces. Well that little joint is broken and it won’t hold the phone at any angle now. It just drops facing down so I’m quite disappointed because I use it a lot.

I am very pleased with the overall construction of this unit! Easy to install! Used it to create an overhead video of me drawing!
