MerrellKids' Trail Chaser Hiking Sneaker

These hiking shoes are great. Our 5 year old wore them for a couple 2-ish mile hikes on vacation with no complaints. They are, however, a little bit tight to the point that she’s unable to get them on by herself - needs a lot of wiggling and shoving to get her feet in the shoes, but once they’re on it’s fine. She’s happy, we’re happy!

The shoes seem supportive and well made. However, they are much heavy then my son’s other New balance shoes. My son seems to prefer his other shoes for this reason.

Style was perfect. Fit was perfect. These have lasted about 4 months on a very active 8 year old. Would definitely buy again.

First, my daughter was super excited about the look and colors of these and she loved that they are velcro. We just used these when hiking in the Great Smoky Mts. and she said they were very comfortable and her feet felt good. It was very wet and muddy and her socks were still very dry when she took them off. I think she plans on wearing these on a more daily basis, not just when we hike or camp.

Comfortable shoes. Plenty of room if you need arch inserts. Easy on and off. This is my second pair so now I have different colors. Very happy with purchase. I normally wear a women’s 7.5 - 8

Brilliant shoes have lasted my son several months of nursery wear and are still going strong!

I spent a large sum on a pair of Merrells for myself a few years ago, and I was so disappointed. They delaminated and laces broke really fast, and the tread wore down to smooth so they easily became my least favourite shoe. But I didn’t believe Merrell made inferior product. They used to be amazing.I bought my son this pair with amazon prime. We got them within 3 days. I was very pleased.Then the first day he wore them, the elastic lace broke. He has had to wear them until we get the replacement pair....that was the beginning of January. Amazon Prime sent me an email today stating that they can not locate a pair for replacement.So my file was closed.That is THOROUGHLY DISAPPOINTING.

great shoe! my son has autism and is 9 so very hard to find shoes with no laces his size. He has a very wide foot and these fit great! Also shipped very fast! Exactly what I was hoping for. Bought him two sizes, one to grow into. Size chart is very accurate too! Hope this helps

Really great shoe! Got two pairs - one for each kid. Durable rugged and not too girly. Fit as expected. I spent more on Sauconys for both of them and they wore right through them in a few months. I can tell these will last until they outgrow. Also super traction (not sure whether they’re non-skid). I would buy again.
