Not good for the price
I wanted to wait until I could give it a good test and the time has come. I've had it for 3 weeks now and I've already it clog up and shut off, and after 1 day of no sun it won't work till it charges again. It has not ran for 2 days now and I am waiting for sunshine to see if it even still works. For the price I paid, I am a little upset at the poor quality. Worked like a charm and great the first week. I let it charge when I unpacked it. The solar panel is in direct sunlight. But after the 1st week it seems to just be going down hill. Let's hope it still works after the rain and the sun charges it again.

Would have given it 5 stars but...
The media could not be loaded. I just received my Solar Fountain Pump today. I have it assembled and my fountain is going like gangbusters and looks great. My reason for giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is two-fold. Firstly, I have prime but paid extra shipping to have it delivered the next day so that I could do the project on my day off and when I had help with some of the heavier lifting. I was charged for the expedited shipping but did not receive it the next day, nor the next, nor the next... it took 4 days. I contacted the seller who just pushed it off on Amazon and said I'd have to deal with them. The second reason is the lack of instructions. I understand how a water pump works as I had aquariums my whole childhood through college and thankfully I figured it out. The only thing included is a small booklet with pictures of each fountain model and a picture of the assembly but the pictures a so small I couldn't see them with my reading glasses.Okay... so once I got it put together, which took about 10 minutes or less, I turned it on and it started right up out of the box. I guess the battery has some charge. (I've attached a video of the finished water feature). I took it out to the spot where I had my fountain set up and waiting and commenced putting it in place and arranging the stones to conceal the cord and everything but the LED lights (which I thought were supposed to turn different colors... maybe that was a different fountain. I looked at so many). It worked immediately and for the moment is blowing and going. People complained that the suction cups don't work to hold the pump down and so the fountain wouldn't stay put but if you cover it with rocks it won't go anywhere. I will update my review in a few weeks to let you know how it's going.

Stopped working for no reason
I bought this pump for a small fountain, it worked for about two weeks then just stopped. It seems like the pump burned up but it has always been under water so I don’t know how that is possible. For the two weeks that is was working, I absolutely loved it.

Lasted one season
This had a similar fate as many of my solar purchases this season. This worked well enough for most of the season. But, come autumn it wouldn’t hold a charge, even is good daylight.

Like Lazarus, it too rose from the grave.
Next day Update: came home last night to a working light and pump. Don’t know how, or why, just happy my $50.00 dollars isn’t wasted.Have had it for two weeks, day before yesterday came home to flashing lights and only a pulsating pump. Tried cleaning, on off, took apart the male /female connection. Nada. Now it dose nothing. Just to expensive for it to break this early on.

Great idea but not a long life quality at least in the one I got.
Worked great until last week.

Looks great day and night
The battery backup for the nighttime operation of the pump and the light is great. I've had mine running for about three weeks and it's exactly what I wanted. As others have mentioned, the instructions are not helpful; I finally figured it out after considering an option that wasn't shown. For a future version, I wold like to see a small loop molded into the bottom cap. This would allow you to easily anchor the floating pump to prevent it from drifting to the side. I wrapped some wire around the suction cup "feet" and tethered the pump to a heavy ceramic pot placed at the bottom of the pond, but it's hard to really center that tether. I love this pump will definitely purchase another one for future projects.

Pump failed, no customer support
Worked really well for a while, and then my pump failed after five months. I messaged Lewisia and they told me to clean the pump and try again. It still didn’t work. I’ve messaged them twice since then and they still haven’t responded.
