It really works! In weeks!
A co-worker (a nurse) loaned me this DVD. She is a very motivated fitness buff and I am, well, a little less so. With winter and holidays closing in, I needed to move myself indoors and still keep moving. This DVD is the perfect solution - I am now a convert. My co-worker was so right - ANYONE can do this, ANYONE can get healthy! And it's fairly simple. And it's fun. And you want to go back the next day and the next. That's saying a whole lot about motivation. I did not have the Walk Away belt but followed along anyway just doing the hand movements and started seeing results within doing the DVD 8 times. I couldn't do 3 miles until the 4th time but, as Leslie would say, that's OK - just go at your own pace but keep walking! This DVD is set up to go at your own pace and working up to all 3 miles is something to shoot for. (I finally got up to the 3rd mile the day some Christmas cookies and fudge came into the office). You won't believe how accomplished you feel when you finally do finish the tape and get to that 3rd mile! Leslie does a great job of bumping up the pace for each segment and then bumping it back down again. The moves are easy for even the clutziest person. Truly, anyone can do this. Yes, between 2 and 2.5 miles you are ready to rethink the whole fitness goal but then it gets better and slower. And you will see results. My sister sees me every week and the 2nd week after I started doing this DVD she walked in and asked, "What are you doing - you're looking a lot trimmer!" Success! thanks to Leslie Sansone!

It's Good.
I have been using Leslie's Walk Away the Pounds Express II 4 mile walk tape (which I really have enjoyed) and was looking for something new when I discovered this tape. I think Leslie's queing has really improved. She still talks almost non-stop, but it's not as annoying as some of her other tapes. I used 2 lb weights (read too many stories about the belt not holding up well, so didn't get it) and really could feel this.Collage Video catalogue rates this tape as intermediate. I have been exercising regularly for the last 3 years, and I have to say that this tape had me breathing hard by the end. A couple of the "regulars" who appear in almost all her tapes mentioned that it was "tough" for them too!The music is good and loud enough to hear, unlike some of her previous tapes. Only she does tend to use the same songs over and over on her various tapes. There's at least one song on this one that is on her 2 Mile and 4 Mile Walk Off Weight Vol 2 and Vol 3 series. That's a little irritating. It's fast paced and before you know it, you're done. It's a keeper.

good workout
I bought this dvd because I can't use the vhs tape any longer. I use this often since it is a very good workout but the only thing I don't like as much with the dvd is the advertisement in the beginning which I find slightly annoying. Not really a big deal but the vhs tape went immediately to the workout. That's why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 but the actual workout is a 5.

My Mom swears by this
My mom asked me to order this "in case" something happens to the one she has now. She seemed to have difficulty finding it elsewhere. She does this video a lot. It is the first video I have actually seen her stick to doing. She feels great and gets surprisingly excited to do the video.

One of my favorites- and I am not at all coordinated
I have been doing the Walk Away the Pounds almost every day for a year or so and I think this is one of my favorites- I enjoy the walkers and Leslie's bubbliness does not bother me. I am glad that I was familiar with the WATP Express series because the stretch at the end of those tapes is much better and can be incorporated into the end of the WATP for Abs which has poor stretching segment. I would have given it 5 stars if not for the end stretch and the fact that I have had to replace the elastic on the belt more than once this year (which you have to buy seperately).

Great Workout!
I own a collection of Leslie's work out programs, and this is one of my favorites! It's fast-paced, and I really work up a sweat. It targets all parts of your body, not just abs. The walkers are wearing the abs belt (which you have to buy separately). I don't have the belt, but use 3 lb. weights instead. It works just as well. Both the music and the energetic group of walkers make the time fly by. It takes about 45 minutes to complete the 3 miles. Throughout the program, Leslie shows the meter at 1/2 mile increments so you can see how far you've gone.As this is in a DVD format, I should be able to bypass the sales pitch for the abs belt in the beginning of the program and just get to the warm-up; however, you have to fast forward.

A good all around workout
For people who are familiar with the Walk Away the Pounds workout this one is great. It is three mile walk with additional upper body workouts. She uses a special 'belt' which I don't have and don't feel I need to make the workout effective. I use 2 or 3 pound weights and feel like I have had a good all around workout.

Nice, brisk
Nice, brisk, short routine for when you don't have time to do 4 or 5 miles. Also good for an extra burst of exercise.

Not sure it's as good for abs...
As it implies! I don't have the band that most of the participants wear, but I did use weights to get the extra workout. I'd like to have seen her use the band an awful lot more. Having said that if you are starting out on weight loss and aren't particularly fit, her workouts are a great introduction and I'm getting used to her voice!!!!!

a great dvd!
this is a great workout.although she uses a stretchy belt to tone the upper body you could easily use hand weights.i only wish they would use chapters in these dvds so you could move onif you did not want to do the whole workout.
