Glacier Leather and Vinyl Cleaner with Conditioner and Bonus Glove for Safe, Deep Cleaning 8 Ounce

I’m asking myself why I’m writing this review, because everyone who has used this product and its companion conditioner is highly satisfied, with ratings for the Premium Leather Cleaner (4.7 stars out of 5) and the Premium Leather Conditioner (4.9 out of 5); however, I'll add my two cents too! By the way, I purchased the cleaner and conditioner, but will review only the cleaner here, for the sake of consumers interested in that item only.The cleaner IS amazing. My search for leather care supplies has finally ended with the discovery of Glacier Car Care products. I purchased a new man-sized leather recliner for my husband nine months ago and although I intended to buy the leather care kit in the store (can I mention La-Z-Boy ?), they were out of stock. Thus began my search in big box, small local hardware and large grocery stores, with less than satisfactory results to be sure. VIOLA! Of course I should’ve checked out my stand-by Amazon first. After reading the reviews, there was no reason not to give the Glacier Car Care products a whirl. I was beyond delighted, considering the many positives.The price – reasonable; fragrance – oh so pleasant; ease of application – simply great, especially with the enclosed glove and of note, a little goes a long way; residue remaining after application – none, and no sticky or gummy feeling either; results – amazing, as it removed the build-up of hand cream and body oils from the chair arms and head rest. I would highly recommend using the Premium Leather Conditioner as well after applying the cleaner for an five star result (see my review for this product too), although the final buffing will impart a pleasant sheen. My husband applied the cleaner and conditioner to my leather car seats, and I also used them on my leather ottoman, all with such impressive outcomes.Overall, there are no negatives related to this awesome cleaner at all. Additionally, Glacier Car Care’s customer service is commendable, as they sent an email to assure my receipt of the products and my level of satisfaction. Equally impressive is that these products are made in the USA, and that’s quite important to me. I will be purchasing the cleaner and conditioner again, very soon, because I’ll never be without either of them. Thank you Glacier Car Care for offering these amazing items.

This cleaner has a very, very strong smell. Yes, it smells like oranges, but it's still chemicals, and it's still extremely strong. I had to take breaths before getting in the car to rub it into the seats. Then I had to drive with the windows down for days before the smell went away. It took 2-3 days for it to fade enough so I could even bear to be in the car with the windows up. Also, the skin on the hand I wore the glove on was peeling for days due to being exposed to the cleaner. Very similar to what happened when I used hydrogen peroxide wipes to clean with. And finally, it doesn't seem to have really done anything. In fact, there are now smear marks that I don't think were there before. I plan on re-cleaning with a different product and not using this again. FYI, it took about half the bottle to clean my Subaru Legacy. I wish I could at least say my disappointment may just be because I was starting with pretty clean seats, but this didn't really do anything to the little bit of dirt that was on them.

I must preface my review by stating that I am a woman not known for taking care of my vehicles! In the 5+ years I have owned my SUV I have never, repeat, never cleaned the leather. I also have two young children that are always with me. So needless to say, the leather interior of my car was FILTHY. Think hair products accumulated on the headrest. Think dirt visibly caked onto the back seat. Yeah. It was that bad.Since my particular situation was third-degree-awful, I required most of the bottle to tackle the atrocities that awaited me. As other reviewers have commented, this leather cleaner has a phenomenal citrus scent. It actually made this arduous task a bit more bearable. I initially followed the instructions on the bottle to the letter. The directions stated to shake well, apply generously to included glove, and scrub onto the leather to produce a lather. I followed the process but there was no lather. The lotion-like consistency was nice and absorbed beautifully into the leather. But no lather. Additionally, the simplicity of the directions did not work for the horrendously dirty condition of my car. I needed to use a sponge with an abrasive side to get off some of the gunk that was caked on to my car seats. I also needed to apply and reapply lots of this cleaner to get the job done.(A short side note: I attempted to tackle this task in the warm, south Florida sunshine. Due to the heat, the lotion-like consistency became more soup-like in texture. I found the cleaner to be most effective in this state. I don't know if it was because it spread more easily or because it had become warmed.)In spite of the lack of lathering, this product did a really really great job of cleaning my leather car seats. I did have to utilize more vigorous cleaning techniques, but in all fairness, most leather cleaners are not meant to tackle dirt that has accumulated over years and years. The leather in my car now looks clean and smooth and moisturized. It hasn't looked this good since when I bought it. I wish I would have taken before and after pictures, because the difference was quite remarkable! I would definitely reorder this product and I would recommend it to anyone looking to clean their leather.One nice bonus? Several hours later, that light, refreshing citrusy scent still lingered in my car! My children and I really liked that.

It did a nice job of cleaning and softening the leather on my couch. It looks almost new again! As you can see from the photo, there is a significant difference in the 2 cushions as I was cleaning.I didn't rate it a 5 as it does require a little work to get it clean, and it's a little pricey. But as I said, it does a very nice job!

It did not work for my purposes --- to try to clean a leather couch. It had a conditioning effect -- but did nothing to loosen any spots. It might be a great product for other uses so I cannot judge. I have tried a lot of home products with a lot better effect but worried about ruining the leather -- my next step is to consult an expert.
