The slim design CuZn Itty Bitty Water Filter assures you of instant, top quality water without taking up your counter top space. It works with any faucet (except for removable spray hose faucets) to filter all your water needs, providing you the best possible water for drinking, washing, brushing teeth and more. The Itty Bitty utilizes a combination of trace minerals (copper and zinc in the patented form of KDF which has been tested to NSF Standards 42 and 61) and catalytic coconut shell carbon. The Itty Bitty reduces many types of contaminants from water including chlorine, water soluble cation heavy metals (lead, mercury, chromium VI, cadmium, etc.), disinfection by products, THMs, herbicides, and pesticides much the same as Mother Nature uses the earth and its minerals to cleanse water. Unlike carbon only filters, bacteria can not grow inside bacteriostatic CuZn filters. This travel friendly filter also features a post micro filter that removes Sediment down to 10 microns that captures particles 15X smaller than the diameter of a single human hair). The Itty Bitty should be replaced every 1500 gallons or 1 year. If you wish to monitor the life of the Itty Bitty, you may do so with a chlorine test strips, drops or tablet. The Itty Bitty purifies without stripping the water of its beneficial mineral content, so performance can not be monitored with the TDS or ppm meter.

Great, but not replacement filter!
I really like this filter. It's been great so far and I like that it gets rid of bacteria too. It came faster than anticipated which was really nice. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I didn't realize that I cannot buy a replacement filter. The whole thing needs to be replaced in a year or after 1,500 gallons. That's a shame, because I think it's a lot of waste. However, if you are buying it because it's portable or because of its size, there's probably nothing else better out there for the price.

Best Filter Available
This Filter is great! It is a sealed unit that does not leak. It comes ready to hook up, as the filter element is already installed. The flow rate is about a gallon per minute. I have had mine about six months and it still works perfectly. It makes the water taste much better because it removes the chlorine. After about a year the manufacturer suggests replacing the unit - you just throw the whole thing out. Because the housing is white (not clear) and because it uses KDF material as one filter stage it discourages the growth of algae and bacteria inside. Also, there is no bad plastic taste or odor added to the water. If you already have an aerator installed on your faucet, you can probably just unscrew it and install this instead. Takes about 2 minutes. It comes with its own aerator. If you do not have an aerator already on your faucet you may need to purchase an aerator adapter, but this is very inexpensive and easy to install - it just screws in. It has a bypass valve that you flip to divert the tap water into the filter. So for washing stuff you use water directly from the tap, and for drinking, ice cubes, cooking and pets you use the filtered water. I have no way to test what this filter does other than by the taste of what comes out of it. The water tastes very clean and fresh, without the pool water taste of chlorine. And no, it makes no claims of filtering out the fluoride. I tried other filters that claimed to address the fluoride issue, but each one either leaked or made the water taste worse than when it went in or just produced a trickle of water. If you live in a city that adds chlorine to your water, and if you have not tried any other filter yet, give this one a chance. Once you hook it up, all you have to do is run it for 5 or 10 minutes to help clean out any loose carbon particles in the filter element. Then the water runs clear and clean and great tasting. It is for use with cold water only, as hot water is not good for the filter. The only thing that this filter lacks is a way to direct the water coming out directly from the tap in different directions: it only goes down. But many kitchen faucets have an auxiliary hand held sprayer so this is not a serious issue. I liked this filter so much I bought some to give as gifts. It is a well designed and manufactured product that really works. Also, it is very compact and does not hog counter top space.

Will buy again and also give one to a friend as a gift. Water tastes better. Like the simple all in one design with the filter incorporated into the actual unit. Also the Bacteriostatic properties were a big selling point for me.Suggestions to manufacturer would be: Create another model with a lower micron rating capable of filtering bacteria/viruses. (Since the intended use is for a faucet, most likely on already pre-treated water, filtering for bacteria/viruses is likely not necessary in most situations, but would be nice to have options.) Also, I would prefer a faucet adapter that I could adjust the water flow rate or maybe a design that would slow the water flow from within the filter itself. (I am obviously no expert, but it "feels" like the water flow rate is to fast, not giving the filter medium time to do a complete job.)Overall a nice design, I will buy again and would recommend to others.

This little guy is AMAZING!!!
This little guy is AMAZING! We bought 2 of them. One for the bathroom and one for the kitchen Super easy to install, and I am 100% pleased. We have really hard water with sulfur in it (yummy rotten egg smell). To me, the water is not drinkable. But this filter has changed all of that. After installing, we had to let it run for about 30 mins before it started to work, but holy crap, did it work after that!! Our disgusting water is now like bottled water!!! Oh, and another side note, every time we turn it on, it has to run for roughly a minute before the water is good. But doesn't bother us. Small price to pay for AMAZING water!!

Great Purchase I Use this to Wash my Hands on the Bathroom Sink. Works and Looks Great
Just got this and very happy with it. I'm honestly mechanically retarded so I paid someone a few dollars to install this and they did a great job. The size is perfect for me. I use this to wash my hands in my bathroom sink with the water going straight out the Itty Bitty Filter. It works great and somehow the water seems to shoot out better than it dd straight from the regular faucet. It's the perfect size and space on my bathroom sink. Very happy with this purchase/

Yummy water!
I bought this to replace my Brita pitcher, in the hope that it would filter heavy metals out of well water. Our water is otherwise safe to drink, but they don't routinely test for metals at the township and the softening system can leave deposits that make the Brita veeeery sloooow. This Itty Bitty filter is not slow at all, and the kids say the water just tastes cleaner. I flushed it a bit longer than it said on the instructions, because my first cup of water had a slight plastic taste to it. I hope it lasts a whole year! I'll update if there are any issues.

I got this for my son to use in his dorm and he loved it! His school is changing pipelines and water is not safe to drink. Water is his main beverage, this filter is perfect for his bathroom and it was so easy to installed. I am very happy with this purchase and will refer to office lead at work as a environment friendly alternative to bottle water. The packaging was great, detailed instructions and hardware was available.

So Happy I bought this one!
Got my Itty Bitty water filter today. It's the perfect size in my small kitchen apartment after looking at many types on Amazon. The directions for installation were clear and simple. I had it installed in less than 10 minutes! Super easy for a not-so-handy type like me. Turned on the faucet, and ran until water was clear in about 2 minutes. Let it run for 5 minutes like instructed, then took a sip of the clean, clear water! No more plastic bottles to recycle, or go into the ocean!!Happy happy!!
