Need a close up microscope camera and we had a minimal budget.I bought it took the pictures I needed it works pretty good.Not hyper sharp but the detail is goodThe stand (like all stands for this stuff) is cheap but workableI will look into better mounts next year or steal something form the Machine shop.Good value for the money (less that $100)

It was like I expected, and works well for the application I had intended it for. The images are clear and detailed. A very good buy for the money.

very poor quality built for the price, i returned it. You can get a very god quality (solid aluminum alloy) from eBay with similar specs for a fraction of the price.

I had to return it. I bought it specifically because I need microscope with measuring software. Beware, the measuring software is for PC only and they should state this in specs! I don't have a PC at home but I tried it on computer in our office, 32 bit windows Vista, the program installed fine but PC crashed to blue screen always after I clicked to digital zoom option. This may be fixed with newer software download..

works fine. the software is sluggish and i use a usb webcam viewer instead. do not expect a tight working mechanism because the parts fit loose and you can not tighten it enough to really lock into place.

stand a bit toy like, the 'green gem denotes quality' (glass bead) is beyond words. Overall, it's nice toy to play with. Instructions not perfect but they worked. Email questions were answered acceptably and accurately. As expected, small lenses leave a lot to be desired for magnifying optics. It's a decent apparatus for the money.

Item is good for micro. pics. Larger items it does not work well. I like it for the things it works on. Good camera view on computer screen.
