A wonderful balance of suspenseful adventure and character and thematic depth
After reading both Shooting Kabul and Saving Kabul Corner, I was excited for Ticket to India, and it definitely delivered. In Senzai's signature style, it covered a lot of ground and balanced a suspenseful, adventure-filled plot with character development, vivid descriptions of India's cultural landscape, and thoughtful exploration of deeper themes relating to Partition and its aftereffects as well as hybrid identity.

The book is excellent for 9 to 12 year olds
The book is excellent for 9 to 12 year olds. It is a bit violent, and you should teach your kids about the Indian Civil War before you give it to them to read.

I like India so that is why I read it.My favorite character is Maya because she is super strong and keeps to her promises. I like when she digs at the tree and they keep searching for the chest.
