Very very bright light, good visible spectrum light and pleasing warm white color temp.Fans are LOUD. EXTREMELY LOUD. HEAR THEM RUNNING THROUGH TWO DOORS LOUD. DID I MENTION THEY ARE EXTREMELY LOUD?I have this set up on a terrarium, it fits a 12"x12" open top like it was made for it.10-12 hour light cycle runs just fine.It does get warm- I read about 110 degrees off the chip board. 100 degrees at top 3"-4" inches of the tank. My snake loves it, the curly leaf ivy not so much- cooked it dry in about a day. But the ground level plants are getting enough light and thriving.For $50 you can't really go wrong as long as you are aware of the shortcomings of this unit. Loud, hot and can't be daisy chained.

This is good for seedlings and equivalent to a 400 watt MH with an output of 32000 lumens. One of these will realistically cover 1.5 feet x 1.5 feet. They do put out some heat but its not directional its more like the lamp is slightly warm but the room its in gets very warm. The light output is very directional and shoots strait down its not like a MH light and hood that spreads the light out so you would need 4x to get the same coverage of a 600 watt MH.

I was bascially experimenting when I purchased this product I had read online in some of the growing blogs that these lights were optimum for bud formation and very effective in the vegatative stage and much to my amazement the hype was true they also have 4,8,12...timer that works as advertised....there are units that are 2and 3 times the price i cant speak to their characteristics all I know these units are well WORTH the MONEY.....toad G...Out...

Ok....just received this light and the Parfacts 1000w to compare to my year old Roleadro 600w...not too impressive at first glance as it's fans are substantially louder than the Roleadro and doesn't seem as bright. I'd have purchased 2 more Roleadros but they've gone to plastic housings and I like the metal. Parfacts seems pretty bright with whiter light but without a spectrometer I'm just going by looks. I'll post further down the line when I have plants under all three as to obvious differences but right now it looks sketchy.

It's really noisy and they've got to be out of their minds if they say this is equivalent to a 600W HPS system. The lighting is OK--just really noisy compared to my Bestva LEDs. I've had it running continuously for about 3 months. So far so good.

Not as bright as I thought it would be
