A good strong cup of coffee with decent flavour for a decent price
We get through so many bags of beans in our office. Approx 2 x 1kg bags a week between us. Our favourite is Spiller and Tate signature blend, although it's excellent, but at just under £18 a kg it works out expensive when we get thru so much. So we have tried several different brands of 1kg bags off Amazon and the many Facebook adverts in the past, nothing really stood out for us to consider to buying regular, there really is a lot of weak, flavourless crappy coffee beans on sale IMHO!These Arabica beans!... Well! We all like a strong, dark, bold, decent flavoured double espresso bean to cup with added coffee mate. These beans are a good cheaper alternative and on the opinion of all 5 of us, they're pretty good beans and a good buy for the price. So much so I have re-ordered twice now. We have also tried the same brand in the espresso beans which we all found were not as strong and flavoursome as the Arabica. I am tempted to try the other ranges from this brand but reading other reviews the Arabica is the stronger, darker of them all?Good buy for the price! Will be re-ordering and possibly subscribing for the price of it.

It's not bad for an espresso coffee but too much Robusta in this blend
Overal it's not bad for an espresso, but I can taste too much Robusta in it and I don't like it very much. I'm not a coffee expert but I know how it tastes and it's definitely there. It tastes earthy and a little damp to me. I'm not a fan of it. Also, it's quite a dark roast as an espresso roast should be. Great if you're a fan of that. But, choose a different blend if your taste is similar to mine. :) Good value for money tho.

Good flavour and value
Firstly, there are reviews with bits of rubble in their beans. I found a small pea size bit in one of 8 bags. Frustrating but this isn't the only brand to have that issue and I always look at the beans as I pour them in anyway. The flavour is good, not excellent and not bad. You get what you're paying for and I've used these for an everyday American or for lattes with no issues.Freshness wise, they're not the freshest, they are sealed but the roast date is usually several months before our purchase dates. They detoriate pretty fast after opening, drink within around 7 days I would say, after that the flavour changes a lot.Would definitely buy them again though. Very good value, I buy in the 4 bags so I can keep portions fresh where as a 1kg bag which is cheaper, is too much for me to use.

Rich aroma, nice mildly bitter taste, not overly bold
Good value for money, the aroma is rich and fresh, as soon as you open the bag it hits you. When grinding the beans the smell permeates the room, which always manages to perk you up. The coffee itself isn't overly strong, good for french press, slightly lacking for percolators. I would assume that it would work well for espresso machines, but as I don't have one, I can't be sure. For anyone that likes a nice cup of coffee, but doesn't want the strong bitter taste, this blend is ideal. For myself, however, I like a dark, bold, bitterness to my coffee, so this is a little lacking for me. Overall though, I would recommend it!

Great value coffee
Some of the premium beans I have bought in the past go up to £6.99 for 250g. So paying less than £16 for 2 Kilos I wasn't expecting much.Pleasantly surprised, It's a bean that needs careful treatment to not edge towards the bitter side, it has quite a complex taste with a nice, slightly nutty finish if brewed right. I found turning my grinder back a notch and being very careful to not over tamp it in my espresso machine (Rocket Espresso R51) gave a good crema and a strong but pleasant taste. In quality terms it's above supermarket own brand, a bit more interesting than lavazza (which I find consistent but rather bland). It's currently my general coffee, with my taste for some of the artisan beans now relegated to special occasions or the odd treat :)
