It does not allow u to view camera unless u are close to it. It also will stop recording without warning.

Good camera for the price...
For a smaller camera, the motion detection was excellent. It captured my small dogs as well as adults. The night vision was average at best. The app was easy to download and use remotely with my cell phone.
