Used Omeprazole rx for years. My stomach ph was normal, but had Gerd symptoms so they put me on meds, of course. So I tried to get off them but the pain of a burning esophagus was impossible to get around. Used generic tums, and other OTC stomach acid meds. Nothing worked. I have had stomach issues for years... mostly severe IBS and maybe even some food allergies I can't pinpoint. For the past year I have been using apple cider vinegar pills and probiotics and have noticed a slight difference. I read about activated charcoal and decided to give it a try.
