You should be able to get a faster speed than 30 fps, and the frame rates rely on the capabilities of the Sony IMX298 sensor. Avoid this and get something that works

There is a lack of driver support for this camera provided by the company. It's proprietary so there is no source code to fix it. This sensor is capable of getting about 30 fps at 4k resolution, but the best I've been able to get was about 1 frame per 10 seconds. Half of the example code on GitHub doesn't work for this board even though the company claims it does in their promotional media. I suspect either this sensor isn't what they advertise it as being or they bought out a lot of old camera chips used to making cell phones and just threw a board toghether without getting it to work. Avoid any chip/sensor where you can't get documentation for on how to actually use it from the manufacturer.
