Marble Mania Hardcover – February 22, 2011

I own several marble books, but this one is, by far, the most detailed that I have. I especially like the section where it talks about new contemporary marbles such as those produced by my husband, marble artist, Carl Fisher. I was glad to see that the author included his works as he is a truly gifted artist. I would highly recommend this book to other collectors that need current prices or just want to know the history of marble making. It is very informative, has great photos, and is written in a very easy-to-understand manner.

This book not only talks about the history of the marble but there are a TON of pictures that include the marbles as well. Starting from rock and all the way up to the glass marbles!!! You get information on various companies that made these marbles and you also get pictures of the designs and patterns on the marbles and their boxes they came in too!! You get a nice price guide to get an idea what your collection could be worth as well!! True marble collectors will LOVE this book! I love it for the history and I love it for the photos included as there are hundreds!! Nobody who collects marbles should be without this book!!

Lots of useful information and marble history

I wanted a nice color book with the history of marble companies and this delivered. there's a ton of great photo's of great old marbles, marble packages, games, books, kind of an all inclusive history. Only comment I'd make for the 3rd edition is some of the marble photo's from private collections are darker and harder to see, other than that, this is a great asset to any marble fan's collection!

It has a lot of pictures so you can classify your marbles better. Great photography and reference material

I purchased this book to identify some old marbles I found in storage. After receiving it, I found it to be very interesting. It has beautiful pictures & I have learned more than anticipated. I have been very pleased with it.
