Unique---Made in France
We encountered and used these in a restaurant in Morocco and ordered them after returning to the States. The specs and geometry seem better than the competing ones made of metal which inevitably must tarnish due to the acidic citrus juices. We bought extra sets to use as unique housewarming or bread-and-butter gifts.

But I do like the stainless steel
I have tried all of the purse size lemon squeezers out there. I have the flat squeezer (stainless steel). With the flat squeezer, I still end up with lemon juice on my hands. But I do like the stainless steel. I have the bird shaped squeezers (stainless steel). Again, love the stainless steel but the bird shaped ones are designed so that you cannot squeeze all of the lemon. The tail hits the birds back and leaves more than half the lemon unsqueezed. This is the best purse size squeezer for the money. These are my second set of birds by Press Art. The first time I purchased these I loved them - but they only lasted about 1 1/2 years. The hinge where the lever attaches to the bird snapped. I do throw them in the dishwasher - and it's possible I used them to their life expectancy. They work well as long as the restaurant doesn't give you a super fat lemon wedge. I would love it if they would sell these with a little purse carrier of some sort. As it is now, i just keep it in a ziplock sandwich bag and throw it back in the bag after I use it. But, if it's your goal to have a squeezer to carry around so that you can use it for lemon squeezing at restaurants, I think this is the best bang for the buck. I do wish they'd make it in stainless steel. We will see how long these two last.

Cute design but too narrow to be practical
The little birds are very well made and do a great job of squeezing the lemon or lime. The problem is they are not wide enough. To fit a slice of lemon into the narrow space you have to cut a medium lemon into smaller slices than 8ths with the result that you don't get much juice-only a few drops. For my preferences that is not worth it.

Unique, pretty & practical.
I used these as stocking stuffers for my tea drinkers and everyone loved them.

Doesn't hold all sizes of lemons
Would not recommend. Too small to squeeze lemons and limes

Great and useful new gadget!
First of all, you get an incredible amount of juice out of a slice of lemon or lime. The juice stays in the well of the press rather than squirting out all over the place and getting your fingers all wet with the juice. And last but not least, they are fun and east to use. I recommend that if you are a few or many people using them at a party or dinner that you slice/cut the lemons or limes in advance since the slices need to be the correct size to fit the press. I love them and bought many of them to give as hostess gifts as an alternative to bringing wine or flowers all the time.

It was a great idea..
Your wedges need to be pretty small. A standard bar cut is too big. I had to make special lemons and limes to use this with and only used it so I could put on a show at my bar. Guests do love it though..

Great lemon squeezer things,
These are great conversation pieces for a dinning table. They work great, remember which way to put the lemon in, the peel goes on the bottom, dont force it, if it's not going easy, you have the lemon either too big or in wrong...ask how I know. But treated properly, will last a long time. Broke my first one, now ordered two more!

False advertising
This item is plastic and not glass as advertised, very disappointed! Feels cheaply made and flimsy. I think will put in no time from the citric acid in lemons and limes
