Wonderful!
Absolutely love the cooler! We have another one, but it didn't cover as much area (350 sqft). This one does 750 sqft! This one is also much easier to add water to, most of them you have to practically stand on your head to see the water level! The one had a little red ball in the window to show you your water level, wonderful!

Cool on very hot days.
We bought two, one for the down stairs and one for the upstairs master bedroom. Here in the high desert the humidity is low, around 10 to 15% which is perfect for evaporative coolers. We are off the grid so using the central AC drains our solar batteries quickly. The remote is almost useless as it only is receptive within about 12 feet of the cooler. Depending on the fan speed, low, medium or high the cooler will use up water quickly. It does let you know when it is running low. There is no window port to see when it is full when adding water so it can easily overflow onto the carpet or flooring. The paper elements did start to flake after just a few uses so I wonder how many seasons before having to replace them.

Very "cool"!
I'm not sure about energy-efficient, as just received yesterday. American-Mechanic was the seller and it was shipped on Monday - I received it yesterday, Tuesday! Wasn't even expected til 16th -20th.Only thing you must do is make sure it is in front of outside air. I have it in front of slightly ajar front door. The cool air that comes out of this is excellent. Been living w/o any decent air in Inland, So. California. I've tried many different "amazing" - pieces of junk. If you're experiencing any problems it's because you don't have it set up in front of an open air source.*Remote-perfect Castors-stableDoesn't leakSo purchase from American-Mechanic and you'll receive an excellent product & outstanding delivery service. Reason I mentioned above, was from reviews. that had me quite worried.*If you have any issues with remote pull out plastic protector on remote battery.

WTF - $300 for a fan!!!
Let me explain you are paying $300 for a fan. My first image is my thermostat at 83°F when it was 84°F two (2) hours ago. Place heating is 100 sq ft., and I had on my air, that is also just a fan.Next how big this beast is... how loud it is, is louder than a fan - MULTIPLE fans...Last, and the most important is the cube of ice they give you to freeze and think that little cube will cool down your house. This is a scam. It is an Old School ice Infront of a fan, but give you three ice cubes and charge you $300.Also, the batteries didn't work on the remote because they didn't put plastic in-between the connections.Amazon is a risk and that is why I respond to views to help people to know EXACTLY what they are buying. Good GOD, it is beeping now and sounding like it is throwing up...I AM SO PISSED!!! I Doubt I will get my money back....

New unit, remote doesn't work, leaks, and can't get customer support from Hessaire.
We purchased this unit about a month ago and on the good side, it works very well to cool the space, and then some. It is relatively quiet for the amount of cool air it pushes out. The problems are that first, the remote doesn't work (tried new battery and no luck), and now it has begun to leak after a few hours of being on. I still want to make it work, so I emailed Hessaire customer support last week and have gotten no response from them so far. Sent another email this morning so will see, but right now I am not satisfied at all with this company and their lack of support. Feel like I have a great cooler, but can't run it due to the leaking, and they aren't responsive - so seems we are left with a defective unit and no help.

Bit of a learning curve
This evaporative cooler is ok. It works decently. The noise level isn’t bad, I can hear the TV over it and it’s MUCH quieter than my box fan. The only thing is that it is a learning curve to use it correctly. Through some frustratingly hot and “swampy” trial and error, I finally figured out if I open a window downstream and put a box fan in the window to draw the air out, it works pretty good. It’s definitely not as good as air conditioning, but it makes the living room where I have it positioned comfortable enough. I’m hoping I figured out the key to make it work through the smoky fire season!
