The Road to El Dorado Saber Chel & Bibo BK Burger King 2000 Toy #1

As voiced by Rosie Perez, Chel is the spunky heroine and native of El Dorado who gets mixed up in the dealings of small time con artists Miguel and Tulio in the 2000 animated film The Road to El Dorado. This set was one of four offered with Burger King's kids meals at the time. The figure is a PVC type plastic standing about 4 inches tall. She is poseable at the hips and shoulders. The sculpting on the figure is well done and brightly painting, looking like the character from the film. You also get Bibo, the aardvark. Bibo is stuffed, and has a mechanism where you pull his tail, and he moves around on his rear via vibration. He's out of scale with Chel, also standing about 3 1/2 inches tall. A small instruction book is included and the two come in a plastic bag as show. Despite the description saying 'Saber Chel', she is not holding any sort of saber. I bought this since I was a fan of the film and was rounding out a collection. For the price, a great set of figures well done for a fast food giveaway.

I bought this for a sweet girl who's about to have a quince~neara. I bought it alongside the film "Road to El Dorado." I am not sure there's a ton of Latina dolls out there, so this is a nice addition. I especially love that this represents an indigenous woman, not a Southern European who just happens to live in the Western Hemisphere. I feel like this is a doll of color; her deep brown skin is not up for interpretation. This comes with an armadillo-like plush toy. You can actually divide the purchase btwn kids, say opposite-sex twins, for example. What's interesting is some may prefer the female doll and some may prefer the plush toy animal. The thing is: the plush toy is larger than the human doll. These items were not made to scale. Don't buy this if you think it would make a child believe that armadillos are the size of humans. However, the two toys can be enjoyed separately. Some little kids won't even remember they came in the same bag years later.

this figure is ok but I was looking for a PVC like the Disney figures
