We purchased this after our daughter was diagnosed with a dust mite allergy. The texture is a little odd- best to wash first to soften. It was not too difficult to put on for 2 people - we had to take the mattress off the bed and stand it on end to slip the cover over, but it only took about 10 minutes. We also got the covers for her pillows and washed all the stuffed animals and blankets to start. Her persistent dry night time cough stopped immediately. At that point we also got covers for all the beds and pillows.

Great product
Easy to put on mattress! Doesn't fit "skin tight" so that it's difficult to get onto mattress. It is a little louder than we would've liked. This would not work if this was our everyday bed but its for a guest room so it works!

Great product!!!
Bought this basically as a cover for a matress to keep an older animal from messing it up. I was afraid it would not hold up for what I needed but so far so good. My cat is older and has begun to urinate in her sleep and at 15 I can seem to transistion her off the bed. This cover has been great I do use another matress pad over it since I do not want cat claws to mess this one up.

Seems to be a nice quality piece that is much softer and less plastic than others.

Tears easily
This bed bug protector tears easily if you tug on it to go over the mattress. Even if you're trying to zip it it tears at the seams. Had I. Known what I know now, I would have bought the more expensive cover by protect a bed. ORkin is good for the exterminating but not the making of products.
