This is a powerful little light. I'm always looking for compact items to take camping and this fits the bill, plus it's just a great light. I normally don't care for LED lights because they're too bright, but this one is not so harsh because of the opaque cap over the bulb. Plus, it's dimmable! It seems to be pretty sturdy, too.

These are the best camping, backpacking and emergency lights. I took one on a back packing trip to climb Mt. Whitney. It served me well. I needed up buying a bunch more for family gifts for my kids emergency kits.

The ShuoFang Cobblestone Ultra Bright LED Lantern is an impressive little multi-purpose household lantern. It's small (about the size of an orange) but mighty. Inside the box came a nice user manual and three AAA batteries, so I could begin using the lantern right away. I love it when manufacturers supply the battery - it's the sign of a conscientious company. The lantern is also resistant to dampness like splashes, so if you're camping and it's raining, it reassures that the lantern is durable. It was so easy to activate, that my 9 year old grandson installed the batteries himself. Made with a combination of polycarbonate and rubberized plastic, this lantern is light and attractive. There is a hook at the top that will allow the user to hang it, or it folds into the lantern so you can set it on a table top or chair or other hard surface. You can easily toss it into a bag or purse or the glove compartment of your car should you ever need it in an emergency.What is truly amazing is the fact that such a small lantern can shed such a powerful light. It is an LED light which can be adjusted in strength. Depending on how bright you set it, the lantern will run between 10 to 160 hours. I have used this to read at night, or for extra light when working in the kitchen. It also makes an amazing little emergency light during power failures. It even comes with a 3 year warranty.In summary, this is an incredible little lantern that is not only attractive, but really does all that it promises. Long lasting, durable, splash resistance, and with a multitude of uses beyond camping, I highly recommend this quality product. I am very, very impressed!

Note: The maker supplied me with a review sample for evaluation, the opinion of the product is my own personal view.This compact LED camping light is rated to IPX4 (that means it will survive a shower/rain but not submersion in water) and features a light control via the power switch, holding this in increase/reduces the light output from quite a bright maximum level down to a very soft low light. The unit is well made with strong plastics which have a "soft touch" effect, and a rubber pad over the power button.You get 3 x AAA batteries included (energizer) the base unscrews with a single thick thread and you can insert the batteries here. On the underside are two open loop hooks this allows you to hang the light if required and it won't fall off as both hooks hold it securely.The maker quotes the output to be around 120 lumens at full power down to a mere 4 lumens at the lowest setting. Battery life varies from about 10 hours at full power to a whopping 160 hours at the minimum setting this will vary on the batteries used (I'd suggest picking up a set of rechargeable batteries for longer term use) At full pelt the light is quite bright and more than up to the job if you're camping or outside. Whilst this is designed for camping it works just great as a normal bedside light and would do a fine job for reading or as a compact light to carry around. The output is quite soft and diffused thanks to the dome covering. Instructions are clear and very easy to follow as this is water resistant (splash) you can wash it if required.Overall little to fault here LED technology brings some serious advantages for lighting like this with long service life, very low power consumption and no need to replace bulbs. I do have a few camping lights and they work fine, but they're not a patch on this in terms of light output or build. These are a bit more expensive than the lights I bought, but the quality is certainly here, an excellent weather proof LED light.

This lantern is way better than I expected. It's packed securely in a box with the batteries needed(3 AAA) and instructions. It's straight forward and easy to use. I was amazed at how bright this lantern was and how dim it can be at its lowest. The dimming is great just hold the button until it dims to the level you need and then release the button. So it's perfect for when you need a lot of light or just a little.I tried it under some heavy dropping water, it only took in a little and continued to operate without dimming at all. I let it air dry and its like it never even got wet. so it would be great even if it's raining.Compared to some other camping lanterns I own this one is far superior in every way. The hook design is great it could of been magnetic so the hooks stayed together when they were both out, but there great either way. Over all this is a wonderful product perfect for both indoor and outdoor use.
